This episode was freaking awesome. Left me speechless. All hail Lelouch!!! Is what I can say to you now. If you haven’t watched it, it’s time to watch. So good, I am stunned at the turn of events! XD

Code Geass R2 - Episode 21

Lelouch’s mother, Marianne makes her appearance. Well she is able to be in her true form in the World of C.

You’re alive I see

So Lelouch got a horrible shocked as to why his mother was alive. Turns out Charles has arranged for him and Nunnally to go to Japan so that V.V would not do anything to them. Both Marianne and Charles desire for the Ragnarok Connection was an epic failure when Lelouch “killed” them in the World of C.

Byebye you evil bitches. Lol

So basically for everything that has been going on, I was fooled? Lol? Marianne wasn’t murdered totally, she survived! In another human body though. And looks like tons of people are having the Geass ability, even the Knights of Rounds, Knight of One – Bismarck Waldstein has it. (He has right?) Though the ability has not been shown yet, I have a feeling he is going to appear for the next few episodes aiding Schneizel with “building” his world.

What a combination!
Suzaku becomes Knight of Zero? Lelouch takes the Emperor place?

Which is why I don’t believe that Schneizel will stand around to watch Lelouch take over the place of the emperor. It is just impossible! Look at his eyes, his hair. =X And hurray to the combination of Lelouch x Suzaku. It couldn’t get any better. From friends to foes and back to friends again? XD This was absolutely one episode that turned the tables around. And I can only say “All Hail Lelouch!!”

To begin with, Charles and Marianne weren’t really the villains. More so, Lelouch hates them because both of them deserted him and Nunnally. And well, while I feel that this episode could have been a great cliffhanger, where Lelouch takes the place of the Emperor, we have 4 more episodes to go. I am looking forward to what will be happening between Schneizel and Lelouch.

In addition, I feel that this whole episode was very Evangelion-like. What is the Sword of Akasha?! Lelouch “kills” both his parents and the episode just forward the entire time frame to one month later -_-. I’m having a headache just trying to figure out some sense in this episode. =/

Random Shots

Go Knightmare!

Kallen - My Fave!
Still waiting for her to kick some butts.

Lelouch is da man
Two Geass. Does this means he can do more?

Marianne stops possessing Anya

I want to know what Lulu’s plan is now… I mean… I see what he did… but what is his ultimate goal?
To make a good world like he claimed beforeXD?

I don’t get how any of you could even begin to like this episode!!! IT confusing, not needed and totally sucks. It ruins the Code geass show!!!!

First, Lelouch kills his father and his mother, who is the main reason he even started this war.Why make Lelouch’s reason to start the war his mother’s death if he is going to kill her. Now Lelouch won’t even have a reason to still fight Britainnia. She should have just remained dead instead of being shown as a Whore!

Second, why Anya was there when V.V killed Lelouch’s mother and wasn’t found out doesn;t really matter at all.

Third, just when Suzaku is about to kill Lelouch, there’s a timeskip and he became Lelouch’s dog and broke iron spears with his legs. Where did all the hate and grudge that Suzaku felt after Lelouch kills Elphie go and how he hated Lelouch’s way of controlling people.

Fourthly, the plot of Lelouch making himself the king of Britainnia in just a month is stupid. If it was so easy, all the wars and fighting that happened seems so… pointless. All the people that died died in vain.

fifthly, why did Schneizel give Lelouch the entire country when he could have taken the throne? Is he commanding the Black knights now??? How will he beat Lelouch and the more powerful country in the world in just 4 episodes. Now that all the nobles are under Lelouch’s control, he can’t just solve this by words.

Sixthly. Charles’ imagine of a badass ruler of Britainnnia that Code Geass created after all the episodes was destroyed all at once. Before, he used to say that “All man are not created Equal” and now he is trying to bring world peace. If all Charles want top do is create world peace with geass then why in the world did he even attack Japan for??!!?!? He killed so many and made so many suffer and now he suddenly became a good guy?! WTF

Code Geass is going nowhere now. Lelouch completed his goal of killing his father and became the king of the country he said he hated so much of in the blink of an eye. What’s going to happen now??!??
Bottom piont is the code geass show is ruined by this ep. The ep made all the exciting and thrilling things that happened before all for nothing. The director could really have done better!!!

@ Key: I guess one reason why I like this episode was I am expecting some kind of explaination in the next 4 episodes. Lelouch killing both of his parents, just means he is going to have a “war” with Schneizel later on, brother with evil hairs and his hairdo, bound to have some problems! No way Charles could have been evil with that kind of weird hairdo XD

I guess since he became Emperor, there will be things he is going to do, and with Geass x 2, I don’t know what is going to happen, but looking forward to it. As for Suzaku, I guess that thay put aside all differences, since both of them have the same mindset of wanting to get rid Charles. The enemy of your enemy is your friend. Right?

    XD

Well I’m looking forward to the next episode, hope everything clears up =/

don;t you get it!? Nothing wil be cleared out! Lelouch’s parents became good all of a sudden after all the horrible things they did and Lelouch killed the mother that he loved so much before she was shown as a Whore. The director tried to justify all this in ep 21 but failed because it just sucked. This stupid and confusing event is now a thing of the past. In the next 4 ep, it will only be about Lelouch, who unbelievably became king of Britainnia in just a month, fighting against his brother. All the shits in this ep will remain confusing!!!

Said be true, the plot really had been ruined by a pile-driver of controversies and illogical senses. Most of them covered by Key.

The fact that since all 4 are aiming for the same goal and yet V.V. worries that Charles might be put off the goal absolutely makes no sense and will have, in fact, succeeded in their plans long ago if not for V.V.’s interference. Or maybe they do need to wage war with about the whole world ( Japan for the sakurite[ Fair enough] and the rest for probably these sites to engage Ragnarok [ although they don't seem to have any Britiannia property ] ) in order for their plan to work in such a scale.

Even more fun is that the assassination of his mom appeared in two different time frames ( How did you get the same “dead” woman walking up/down the stairs and then killed again is simply…. WTH [ Note that the lightning for both scenes are very obvious as well ] ) unless if whomever uses the GEASS has been overly-powered up.

    And of course whatever happean to lelouch’s and suzaku’s objectives;
    1. Lelouch to find whomever killed his “beloved” mom and had his sister in a crude state and as well as get even with his badass dad.
    – Okay so he lost his sister and all sense of followers aka the Black Knights so he went on a hell trip with Charles to be locked forever in that dimension only to find out on that both parents are EQUALLY at fault for dumping them in japan has given him, such a last-minute decision making turnaround to send them BOTH ( yes both ) to the neverworld. So concidentially the least expected step Lelouch will ever thought of carrying it out is made so simple in just 3 minutes when he took 40 episodes to find out the truth of the assassination.

    2. Suzaku to achieve a oppression-free Japan via non-naive/ethically correct ways.
    – Then again… he gets branded as a traitor several times ( with the Elevens first blaming him for allowing Britiannia to take Japan so easily by killing his father, with britianna folks blaming him for the muder of Prince Clovis , with britiannia again blaming him for disobeying orders to die together with Zero via Gawain’s incomplete Hardon exposure ( It’s not your fault that your friend wanted you to LIVE !!!! ), Then Lelouch to became a knight of round ( And this is how you treat your friend who wants you to live?! , japan once more ( for firing Freya , unwillingly though ) , Britianna ( yawn… going up against the emperor directly ) and… the world.. ( including us by siding with Lelouch ).
[P.S. while he does want to get lelouch badly hurt for killing euphie, he does it so much better than that egghead ]

    @Z

    Awesome review.

    @Key

You want a reason as to why this episode was awesome?

Because Lelouch commanded you to do so with his Geass.

    Ok that was a joke.

    You mentioned 6 points.

    1) Lelouch started the war for his mother. Technically, no. He started the war to make the earth a safer place for him and Nunnally to be in. And the point of his mom being a whore isn’t right as well. Think about it this way, she wanted to unite the earth as one, so that there’d be no wars, no lies, no betrayals. Call it warped justice, but it is still executed with good intentions.

    2) The point about V.V. not noticing Anya? Who knows? It may be a plothole, but at least it has given CG more story material

    3) The part about the 1 month timeskip between the events at the World of C and Lelouch Geass-ing nearly the whole world. Well, just look at it this way. Season 1 left us with perhaps the biggest cliffhanger and the issue was only resolved a few months later in Season 2. What I’m thinking here now is, that Lelouch and Suzaku, when in the World of C, felt that it was more beneficial to help each other rather than kill each other.

Either way, that matter should more or less be resolved in the show soon enough.

    4) Lelouch making himself the king in a month a ridiculous idea? Not really. Think about it this way. He, Suzaku and C.C. were the last to see Charles. Lelouch too has a geass that is of the absolute obedience. He could make Guilford percieve him as Cornelia. There was no way, that it would have been impossible for him to make his royal guards think he was Charles as well. Not to mention, the show did mention that Charles had been M.I.A. in his chambers since 1 month ago.

So techincally, ‘Charles’ was still king until that very day 1 month later. And as such, Lelouch making himself King in a day is not that hard, thanks to his geass.

    5) The matter about Schinzel giving up the throne will more or less be explained in the next few episodes. It will probably seem like a very rushed plot, but it’ll probably be explained. Besides, if Schnizel had claimed the throne for himself, who was to stop Lelouch from breaking in and Geass-ing Schinizel.

6)If you think about it carefully, Charles and Marriane being the ‘good guys’ isn’t that unbelievable. Sure, Charles has always been the dominating king of britannia, capturing nations after nations for himself. But, you’re forgetting one thing. The fact that he never really once tried to kill Lelouch has to be a prime factor.

Even when Suzaku captured Lelouch in last season’s finale’s follow up, and brought him to Charles. Charles, if he were evil, could have very easily killed him and settled that problem. Instead, he used his geass to alter his memory so as to protect him.

Sure, he may have appeared evil to us, but he never ever did order a mass wipeout of the Black Knights.

In the end, my point here is, this is perhaps one of the best episodes this show has ever made.

I agree with Key’s points. This show is just spiraling out of control. The writer is trying too hard to put in so many twists that Code Geass R2 is losing its direction. I mean all this time he wanted to destroy Britania and yet in the end he sets himself as Emperor of Britania. I mean what the hell is this story heading to? What rebellion is there left? As people have said, I also hope that the last few episodes doesn’t head in the direction as Deathnote or I would be disappointed because I’ve rooted for Lelouch all this time to make things right but as of right now…..he is a lost soul to me. This episode is confusing as hell.

I just expect alot more blowing things up and other random plot twists… Like Nunnaly being the real god… or something random like that…
