GUNDAAAAAAAAM!!!! Finally came out. It was worth the 6 months wait of course, and having Code Geass to help me through the painful waiting was nice. My only problem starting up this episode was I couldn’t remember anything that happened at the end of the first season. It’s currently four years after the first season; and a lot has changed in the world with Celestial Being out of commission.

Rating: 9/10

Episode starts off with mecha action. Following by the appearance of a group of mobile suits – A-Laws attacking on an asteroid, Klaus Grad and Shirin Bakhtiar(4 eyes) discuss how there was a new mobile suit involved. Both are from the anti-government force Kataron.

Ohhhhh~ we have a new character introduced=D – Klaus Grad

His Side Burns Remind me of a young Desert Tiger from SeedxD Who was the only character I liked in seed by the way.

Still no word on any of the Gundam Meisters, But these two seemed to have settled down during the peace. Its like she’s his daughter, so cute=3

Back in space at a random… Space Plant we get to see Saji Crossroad all grown up.

ohhhh Saji… You’ll always be a newbiexD

Out of no where though… in the men’s locker room, soldiers break in to arrest his partner. His partner runs and gets shot at. Saji yells at them to stop, and gets arrested in the process. He is forced to do manual labor in a high gravity chamber with Rebels.

I don’t think Saji is cut out for manual laborxD

The A-laws controlling the area hear that the Kataron Rebels are coming and deploy some of their new suits (which are pretty much gundam level since they have sparklies) They announce one of the Mobile suit pilots is new… and they have a very familiar name.

This totally went over my head=D Like I can remember all their Last names… she’s Lucky I know her first namexD

Amidst the Chaos ninja Setsuna breaks into their base looking for some answers.

During the Battle outside the A-laws deploy Giant remote controlled Spider Machine Gun robots to kill the rebels inside of the base.

Saji Thinking he’s about to die Dx

Luckily Setsuna shows up at the last minute with guns shooting and bombs to save them.

In my head they hugged during this scenexD Saji seemed like such a happy little puppy.

Setsuna takes Saji and tries to escape from the Robot Spider onslaught.

This scene made me laugh for some reason…

Setsuna must be more gentle with himxD

They finally escape to a hanger that seems safe, and coincidentally, GUNDAM Exia was there waiting for them. Setsuna goes out to battle the A-Laws.

GUNDAAAAAaaaaam~!=D I swear the cape thing reminds me too much Sandrock from Gundam Wing Endless Waltz.

Setsuna actually gets his butt kicked though. Apparently his Exia has become rusty after this 4 years and he’s not matched up to these newer models. He loosed two arms and a leg. It looks like he’s about to be gundam toast when…

Giant purple lasers of mass destruction save him=D So its pretty obvious who has come to his rescue.

Tieria’s new Gundam Model even has laser beam legs! You can’t get more hard core than that. The A-laws flee the scene.

The grown up meisters finally meet again after so long=3

It seems like a happy scene until Saji starts flipping out. He obviously hates Gundams since he blames Celestial Being for his sister’s death and all the bad things that have happened to Louise. Setsuna had nothing to do with either of their deaths… so it kind of made me sad.

I’m wondering if this was a translator error… or if for some reason he really does think Louise is also dead?

Saji means serious business Dx

Rather than continue that scene they return to the A-laws base. Its amazing how dense I am. Even after hearing her last name, seeing her face through her helmet… and even after seeing her real face I still have no idea who this girl is.

It wasn’t till they spelled out her name that I finally realized it was Louise o.o

Part of my brain was probably blocking out the possibility of her being a pilot. Despite the fact I can’t imagine her… HER of all people in the military… I also don’t think she’s mentally stable enough to be a pilot. She had to take some drugs to calm her self down after seeing the gundams, and completely froze on the battle field.

Scene switches to Ribbons… the current mastermind to all the world affairs.

Lime Hair and purple eyes isn’t my thing..

Ohhh… it makes me wonder why Wang Liu Mei was there with him though. Earlier in the episode Celestial Being staff said she was the one who gave the the information about where Exia was.

We get to see Marina for just a split second towards the end.

She’s not allowed to wear suits with bow ties… reminds me too much of RelenaDx

It’s bad enough your name rhymes with her’s… you’re both peace happy political nuts with no real power, and you have a weird relationship with the main gundam pilot of your series… But when you start dressing like her – I have to draw the line.

Apparently Sergei has a son… He’s come to take Soma away.

His son better be more polite to himDx Sergei is a nice guy… Strangely enough he’s one of my favorite characters, I’m glad he didn’t die in the first season.

Tieria trying to lecture Saji… I’ve decided I don’t hate Tieria any more. He seemed to have mellowed out after Lockon’s death.

Impressions:

I’m a bit overwhelmed. That was alot of information to take in in only one episode… and I watched it twice.

Really what I want to see from here on out is… will Lockon’s twin brother be like him? I hope he’s a little different… no one can take my Lockon’s place Dx

I want to see what’s the situation in Marina’s country is.

I want to know what all the Meister’s did over the last four years…

And I want Saji to accept Celestial Being=3

I look forward to the next episode… which will probably be out only hours after I finish writing this. My review is a bit lateXP
