Episode Four had more focus on character development. We get some good flahsbacks of Allelujha and “Marie,” character development for Lockon #2, Setsuna x Marina relationship development… even Big Breasts grows up a little >.> So much apparently her clothes don’t fit anymore…

Episode starts off with Allelujah flashback to his (cute) childhood. He wakes up in an operating room and hears a girl’s voice in his head. He follows the voice till he finds a half naked loli behind glass. Her eyes are wide open, but she’s not moving; her voice is being transmitted to him telepathically it seems. Doctors watch on in a distance.

Marie tells him she’s glad to meet him, that she had always been alone. She says her name is Marie and asks for his. Allelujah says he has no memory and doesn’t know his name. Marie give him a name then; Allelujah. She says it meens to give thanks to God. Allelujah asks what he should be thankful about. And Marie says he should be thankful to be alive ^.^ (very sweet).

Apparently Allelujah must have been born with Emo haircutxD But always cute =3

Back to the Future… celestial being is talking to Marina about what she plans to do. She asks to return to Azidistan, since her country is in chaos she must return, even if it means her getting arrested again and being in danger. After serious conversation an awesome question was asked of Setsuna and Marina.

Lockon #2 is training his abilities with simulations… he only get 78% accuracy though.

Feldt shows up… and Lockon #2 pretty much asks why she’s stalking him… Things go downhill from therexD

At first I was really mad at this scene, in my last review I had thought that if he did really did kiss her he will have crossed the boundary of no forgiveness like Nena, but Lockon actually had a decent reason for kissing her. He wanted to wake her up and make Feldt realize he’s not the same person as his brother. I kind of feel bad for Lockon #2, everyone is comparing him to his brother, and those are big shoes to fill. Lockon #1 was more mature and steady headed, and a better gundam Pilot. This Lockon feels a bit unsure about his own abilities, and seems a bit more childish. I’ve decided after this episode I will give Lockon #2 another chance to impress me, and I’ll see if I can like him as a separate character from Lockon #1.

Allelujah decides to talk to Big breasts over some wine… like she would decline an opportunity to drinkxD He tells her all about Marie, and how he wants to save her even though they’re enemies. Sumeragi goes on about how she’s envious he has a reason to fight, and that she never did have a reason besides her own ego; that she wanted to forget her sins of the past. Allelujah argues that if thats the case why did she help them save Allelujah. In reality she’s fighting so she doesn’t loose anyone else dear to her. This scene bothered me a little bit… it felt like it was trying to make a Big Breasts X Allelujah pairing… which I don’t likexD But as I’m going to say below in impressions, I think there is some doubt about the Soma X Allelujah pairing developing so won’t rule out the possibility of this relationship unfortunately.

A-laws plan a new offensive against Gundams… apparently Grahams new name is MISTER BUSHIDO… actually saying the english Mi-su-ta-… so cheesy xD The mission is given to so ugly silver haired guy who says they should be easy to destroy since their missions are being decided by their personal emotions (which he’s right).

Back on celestial Being Marina tries to win Setsuna over to her side. Setsuna gives his same answer that all he can do is fight, him and his gundam.

I actually think Setsuna is capable of alot more, in the second season, with Lockon dead, Setsuna seems to have become the heart of Celestial Being. He convinced people to come back, and is even starting to convince Saji I think. Setsuna’s alot more deep than just GUNDAM GUNDAM GUNDAM; he has alot of ideals and really does want peace.

At this point, celestial being submarine mode is attacked by torpedoes and mobile suits. Big Breasts runs into action to give strategy commands, and the gundams easily defeat underwater mobile suits. In the middle of battle Setsuna does have a flash back of Marina saying not to fight though, I’m sure her ideals of peace will continue to affect him as the series progresses.

Above water Setsuna Emerges, and is engaged with “MR. BUSHIDO…” Graham REALLY wants to fight Setsuna apparently. Allelujah fights Soma…and apparently his fighting skills have deteriorated after 4 years of captivity. At this point Kataron shows up and messes up the flow of battle, the gundams retreat, and so does the A-laws.

I can’t even remember miss 4-eyes name, she bothered me in the first season. She just seemed like a whiny nanny, but I’m starting to like her now that she’s part of Kataron. She even went in person to save Marina. And because she’s more of a realist than Marina I think its indispensable that they work together.

Billy means SERIOUS BUSINESS now… He plans on making new weapons for A-laws.

What is this O.o

Saji talking to Sergei? Was he let go? Did he escape? Is he giving away top secret Gundam information? Just as he seemed to be accepting Celestial Being a bit more now there’s this. I’m curious how this will turn out. But I don’t believe Sergei is part of A-laws, so maybe he won’t really end up being Gundam enemy again hopefully.

Impressions:

I’d just like to point out the Irony of Marie’s name. Since Allelujah is clearly a religious reference its safe to assume her name refers to the virgin Mary. Allelujah says that realizing he should be thankful of the life he had was his baptism. Baptism means rebirth… so Marie gave birth to Allelujah. She even named him. I always thought their relationship might become romantic… but thinking from a perspective where he might just think of her as family is kind of crushing that thought now. I also think that Allelujah will die before the series is over if they keep running with this connection… because If Marie = Mary… then Allelujah = Jesus? o.o Or maybe if he refers to the holy trinity… and Hallelujah already died he came back to life as the holy ghostxD??? Omg…I’m thinking to much… Gundam is never that deepxD This is starting to feel like all the thought I put into figuring out meaning behind Setsuna’s real name Soran Ibrahim.

I’m a bit upset that Marina went back… I was hoping for some romance to develop before she left, but since she’s with Kataron probably I don’t think she’s out of the picture of course.
