I had my first Japanese Drink around 1 year ago, but I didn’t realized that until a few weeks back. LOL.

First Japanese Drink

Presenting Calpis Soda! It’s currently my fave drink that I have at least a huge bottle in my storeroom, and a small bottle just in case it becomes sold out at the Yamakawa Super(they sell mainly Japanese Snacks, goodies etc) here ><

So what is Calpis?

Quoted from Wikipedia:

Calpis (カルピス Karupisu) is a Japanese uncarbonated soft drink, manufactured by Calpis Co., Ltd. (カルピス株式会社 Karupisu Kabushiki-gaisha) , headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo. The beverage has a light, somewhat milky, and slightly acidic flavor, similar to plain or vanilla-flavored yogurt or Yakult. Its ingredients include water, nonfat dry milk and lactic acid, and is produced by lactic acid fermentation.

The drink is sold as a concentrate which is mixed with water or sometimes milk just before consumption. A pre-diluted version known as Calpis Water (カルピスウォーター), or its carbonated variety, known as Calpis Soda(カルピスソーダ), are also available. It is also used to flavour kakigori (shaved ice dessert) and as a mixer for cocktails and chuhai.

Of course you may think that I am a loser because I only drank Coke(Plus all the basic local gas drinks you can think of in your country and mine), Green Tea, Ice Lemon Tea, Peach Tea.

I tasted the Green Tea in Singapore before, but most likely it is locally produced, by what I am trying to say that it is not from Japan at all. LOL. There is also the tradition green tea where HOT water is used to brew it. Again, I do not think it originates from Japan 100%, but the brand of the Green Tea should be from Japan.

Besides that I also bought Wasabi-coated Green Peas (My fave too hurhur)

Wasabi Green Peas!

And one last thing before I end my post, I realized that my Pastel Ink Nendoroid is going off color, but after showing the picture to my friend, he thinks that it’s just the shading that results in it appearing “purplelish”. Because I have poor memory, and I did do a photoshoot of Pastel Ink only to erase all the pictures *@(*#$&@$ that I can’t do a before and now comparison T_T. Well, no use crying over it, I shall just live with Pastel having Blue/Purple hair Lol.

T_T

Conclusion? Play more with your nendoroids Orz. Lol.

So do you ever bought something in your OWN country that was imported from Japan? If so, is the store far? For me it’s quite near, by car, it could take only 10-15 minutes to reach! ^^ I guess I must be pretty lucky that such items are readily available, and we even have local shops to ship in figurines for those who don’t know how to ship in figurines themselves, or they just want to save cost (since it’s cheaper if you preorder from local shops!)

Ur lucky to have local shops here that import Japanese snacks and figurine. My suburb is a shit hole where 80% shops are Lebanese selling goods. The only things worthwhile going here is a local supermarket an the bread shop.

Good thing I work in the city so I can get most the Japanese snacks there.
