What do you get when you mix Wario Ware, Mario Paint, And RPG Maker? Apparently the new Wario Ware game “Made in Ore.” (Horrible Engrish? Meaning “Made Myself.”, I believe the official English title Will just be “Myself“) For those of you who have not played Wario Ware games before they are a mixture short short addictive mini games (literally 10 seconds or less) that you play on a timer. These games are the most random things you can think of… like picking someone’s nose or unrolling a roll of …

Docucopies Refuses to Print Yaoi Coloring Book

A coloring book doesn’t get to be printed out because of certain nudity exposed in some pages of the said book. And the book is only a coloring book. How lol is that?

The global boys-love publisher Yaoi Press reports that the on-demand printer Docucopies refused to make copies of its Yaoi Coloring Book “because of the nudity of this file.” While Yaoi Press founder Yamila Abraham noted that all of the book’s characters are male in her emailed reply, she offered to replace some pictures if Docucopies specified which ones …

Ninokuni and Studio Ghibli

Several months ago I heard about a video game in production called Ninokuni, a Nintendo DS RPG by Level 5 (who also made Dark Cloud and Proffesor Layton Games). Its plot seemed pretty simple, about a boy who’s mother dies and he goes to another world to try and bring her back.  What stood out to me is that Studio Ghibli was behind working on the animated cutscenes. I found this very amusing since its a well known fact Miyazaki, Ghibi’s most famous director, hates video games.

New Loot: Hocchan Live DVD

The lack of posts these few days is partly due to me busy settling my personal stuff, while trying to maintain my anime-watching speed and also blog etc.
In fact yesterday I was feeling a bit emo because I had a parcel delivered but I was outside! And CDJapan only emailed me yesterday that they “shipped” out my parcel, but actually they shipped my parcel out last friday. Lol. They’re too efficient XD.
Well I went to the Post Office Headquarters to collect my parcel since I refuse to wait for another …

Blood: The Last Vampire Live Action- Preview

A five minute preview of the beginning of Blood: The Last Vampire can be seen here.
I wasn’t overly impressed with it, but I don’t generally like Japanese movies, let alone live action adaptions of anime, but then again I didn’t like the first five minutes of the animated version of Blood: The Last Vampire either, so I will probably give it another chance.

For those of you who don’t know this movie, its based off of the 2000 animated movie of the same name. Despite being acclaimed as a masterpiece, and …

Japanese Jury Duty

Read an interesting article over at Danny Choo about how there are protests to the jury system being included in the Japanese legal system. I’m not familiar with Japanese law (or the American Legal system outside of Judge Judy and Law and Order), so I didn’t realize there wasn’t a jury system in Japan until this. And then suddenly it hit me….There’s no jury in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney!!! No wonder innocent people kept getting indicted by an old fart who you could probably bribe with cake. Instead of a …
