E3 2009 – Some Random Updates From Sony

I was staying up late last night watching E3 2009. Precisely, 2am(my time) for Sony at E3 2009. Waited till 2.10am as the lady at the microphone kept saying that they are only “moments” away from starting which lasted for 10minutes orz.

Kaz Hirai, Sony’s president, revealed the PSP Go last night. Rumors have been leaked few days before E3 started. It was finally confirmed last night(for me =P)

The device, which is half the size and wait of the original PSP console, features 16GB of flash memory, allowing users to store thousands of songs, photos and games on their console. It also has a slide-out control pad, and integrated Bluetooth, as well as a memory card slot to expand its storage limit.

The PSP Go doens’t have a UMD slot. Old PSP games won’t be playable on the Go set. In addition, the cost of the PSP Go is roughly $250.

E3 2009 - Some Random Updates

Besides PSP Go catching my eye, there were a couple of interesting PSP games revealed too. Games like Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Gran Turismo and new Resident Evil Series?

They even introduced a new type of controller – motion control. I was half asleep at this period so I can’t really remember much LOL. It just looks very Wii-like to me.

Then, Final Fantasy XIV(Fourteen) Online was announced O_O. Why is 14 being announced before 13 being released?! XD. I just hope that there wouldn’t be any delays. I’m sure we all remember FFXIII being delayed -_-.  FFXIV will be released in 2010 too. It is strange why XIV would be released in the same year as XIII.

Well, I’m not complaining! Final Fantasy here I come XD. Time for bluesnow to get a PS3 too~!

I lasted till 3.38am before I finally gave up watching since I didn’t even know what was happening.. Lol.

So what caught your attention at E3 2009? Did anyone catch Microsoft/Nintendo?

You went to bed right before the BEST announcement Zen xD

You forgot to mention The Last Guardian!!! By the same people as Ico and Shadow of the Colossus!
I was more excited about that than final fantasy lol… I practically cried tears of joy… then cried when I realized I don’t have a PS3 lol.

They could announce FFXIV before FFXIII comes about because its another MMORPG >.< Not a real final Fantasy unfortunatly… which is a shame… because I want a more traditional looking final fantasy like that… as epic as FFXIII looks I’d prefer scenes of the great unknown to a mechanized empire.

The Motion control demo made me cry… Do they really need to stoop to Nintendo’s level =____=
It seemed pretty childish to me… and I couldn’t help by laugh over the 1/2 a dozen times the tester said “This is really hard” xD
THATS NOT WHAT PEOPLE WANT TO HEAR hahaha xD
As far as Nintendo went~ Golden Sun 3 was the best announcement IMO… I’ve been waiting YEARS for that xD I was starting to wonder if it would ever come…. Not sure if I’m too happy about the new graphics… But We’ll see… was hoping to see more of who might be on your party since…. The world was like in the process of BLOWING UP at the end of the 2nd one xD
The new Metroid game also looked nice ^.^
I actually think Nintendo had ALOT more to offer this year compared to sony actually… (Compared to LAST year anyways hahaha) Of course that “Vitality Meter” thing is about as weird and Random as you can get =_____=

    FF..XIV, online? *wide eyes*

Let’s hope XIV takes off here and no suffer the same fate as XI. If the level of support is good, local or regional, I’ll gladly dump WoW in favour of FF.
