Why Saki is just so addictive
So. Ever heard of the Mahjong anime, Saki? Well basically it’s all about cute girls playing mahjong and apparently the whole of Japan treats Mahjong as a national sport. Girls, Mahjong. Does that actually sell? Well, for me it does. But it took a little more before I became hooked to the show.

So. Yeah. If you haven’t started watching Saki but don’t have a reason to, let me list the things that make this show so alluring.
- Lots of Girls
- Mahjong
- Excitement (when the Mahjong actually begins)
- Magic (when people like Saki and Koromo plays Mahjong. Ok. It’s not really magic, but they have this supernatural luck that can’t be attributed to skill, so I’ll just call it magic.)
- Comedy (before this show, I felt Mahjong was really boring. This show really awoken me to it, in a way. From the way Touka cringes when she ends up being ‘ambushed’ by both Momoko and Nodoka.)
- Amazing Seiyuu lineup.

Yeah. If you haven’t already realised it, that’s a huge amount of ‘Big’ seiyuus. I was tempted not to list the character of Mihoko Fukuji down but ‘my boss’ may not react too well to that. :D
Well ok. That’s that. Saki’s a great show. Do add it to your line up. I’ll end things with an image of Saki performing Hadou no Yon: Byakurai her usual ‘magic tile’ -> Tsumo attack.

Lol. On a side note I have to admit when I was browsing the seiyuu list I was going “WHERE IS MY HOCCHAN?! WHY IS SHE NOT ON THE LIST?!?”

Haha. Besides, she doesn’t play a MAJOR role, unlike Koromo or Touka. Heck, I even think that Stelath Momoko girl got more airtime then her.

Haha. The show ain’t exactly Loli, except when Koromo and Yuki take centerstage, and it ain’t exactly Yuri till you have scenes between Nodoka and Saki, Mihoko and the rest of her team.
