Ranma =3

According to CD Journal, new anime episodes of “Urusei Yatsura“, “Ranma ½“, and “InuYasha” will be released in a DVD-BOX called “It’s a Rumic World Special Anime BOX” on January 29th, 2010.

This announcement is separate from the new season of Inuyasha that was announced last week.

These three series are all works of Rumiko Takahashi. While I’m a huge Ranma 1/2 half fan myself, I’m very surprised that a series whose original run was 1989-1992, is still getting love.

Ranma 1/2 is a series about a boy who becomes cursed. Whenever he is splashed with cold water he is turned into a trap Woman. This becomes a crack comedy about how he deals with both men and women who fall in love with him; as well as martial arts. Uresai Yatsura is an even older series that seems to be along the same lines of insane comedy as Ranma. Inuyasha was Rumiko’s break from comedy; and is more of an action adventure series sprinkled with romance. As the internet puts it… Inuyasha is Dragon Ball Z for girls.
