The Mio Moe Blob  series K-On has set record heights, defeating world famous anime such as Code Geass and even GOD Haruhi.

33,000 Blue-Ray copies were sold in addition to 8,000 dvds on it’s opening day giving it a total of about 41,000 sales. Here are other outstanding anime sales records that Mio fanboys seemed to have crushed.

Code Geass Volume 1: 36,634 (68,821 total)

Code Geass R2 Volume 1: 25,955 (59,041 total)

Macross Frontier Volume 1: 17,548 (64,981 total)

Haruhi volume one sold 31,000 on the first day.

This news has left two impressions on me… One being the Japanese really love their Blue-Rays xD
The Second being… it is officially the beginning of the end…
