Sekirei Season 2 Green-Lit

The official website of the Sekirei television anime has announced yesterday that production on a new Sekirei television anime series, Sekirei ~Pure Engagement~, has been green-lit.
No idea when it will start airing. Doubt that it’ll air for Fall season. Maybe Winter 2009? Definitely looking forward to this anime. This anime is harem and ecchi! So fanboys will definitely love this show =3. Yeah, but I close my eyes when I see fanservice in some of the episodes.. LOL.
Speaking of this anime, Marina Inoue(whom I covered for Seiyuu Sunday) voiced one of the main characters of the show – Tsukiumi!! Yeah of course the main voice cast will be reprising their respective roles for the 2nd Season.
If you haven’t caught the first season, here’s a summary of it. Catch it before the 2nd season starts!
Minato Sahashi is extremely intelligent, yet due to his inability to cope under pressure has failed the college entrance exam twice. As a result he has been branded an idiot and loser by many. One day after talking to his yet again disappointed mother he comes into contact with a girl named Musubi who was under attack. The girl runs but takes him with her and soon finds that Minato, while unknown to him, is an Ashikabi, one of the mysterious set of masters that have the genetic trait that can become partners with some of the 108 cute girls, buxom women, and bishōnen called “Sekirei”. The reason for the partnership allows the Sekirei to use all their power to win in the competition held by the mysterious MBI corporation.

I never got round in watching the first season.
Other series caught my interest and I just forgot about it. The announcement of S2 won’t change that factor. lol

Aww man i hope that this doesn’t turn out like another Airgear. You know when you’re promised a second season and right before it’s release an announcement is made talking about they changed their minds. Elf Princess Rayne was the same way but they cancelled it after two episodes go figure.

The second season Sekirei ~Pure Engagement~ is said to be aired in July of 2010. It is official
