A two-part TV Special/OVA for Mahoromatic Anime has been announced! The official site for Mahoromatic: Tadaima Okaeri is up too.

New Mahoromatic Anime in October

Scheduled to premiere on BS-TBS satellite and cable channel on October 17 and 24. Following that, there will be a DVD and Blu-ray release on December 23.

The original cast members will reprise their roles!

Shouji Saeki is returning from Mahoromatic: Summer Special to direct this new work at the Gainax anime studio, and Kazuhiro Takamura is returning from every previous Mahoromatic anime project to design the characters and oversee the animation production. Also reprising their roles are most of the cast members and the musical composer Toshio Masuda. Tatsuhiko Urahata (Strawberry Panic!, Ichigo 100%) is writing the scripts based on Bow Ditama and Bunjuro Nakayama’s original Mahoromatic manga.

I didn’t watch this anime before o.o. But I will catch it this October =D.

I myself dropped the anime near the end of season 1. That said, it’s a great series. This is a must watch for me, especially since it’s only 2 episodes.

Mahoro is voiced by Ayako Kawasumi, just a FYI.

I’m quite eager to watch it as well. The series didn’t have a proper closure to it right?

I completely agree. neither the manga or the anime ended “right”. Kind of odd for a “romanftic comedy’
