overall didnt really like buso renkin. somehow it didnt really seem to stand out from the other series.

maybe its because its really very well..unoriginal i suppose.

Busou Renkin was a series that I’ve almost considered dropping, especially after Victor starts kicking in. Papillon… Very odd character but also very different and interesting – comedic but is also smart when it comes to crucial parts.

I think it’s one of those series where mangas are much better than anime due to the 25/6 episode duration, meaning they have to alter a lot to fit in the appropriate length. Very common like other shounen action series, and it’s a pity.

Haha. Ahhh this series. I think it was one of the first series I caught, way before I caught all the other Shounen series, hence it was ok for me.

Papillon is definitely one of the key highlights of the show.

^ The only thing that disturbed me about Papillon is where he put his Kakugane when he wasn’t using it xP

But I suppose it can’t be helped… those tights were probably too tight for pockets.
Although I’m sure they had much more space than his bathing suit xP

I also got more interested in watching this because it’s by the author of Rurouni Kenshin xD It was stereotypical indeed, but I had been entertained~ It wasn’t annoyingly stereotypical to me to the point I couldn’t bear it anymore. Hehe. I really liked this anime xD Papillon still disturbs me though . . . but he amuses me at the same time. Haha!

Lol yes. Papillon…. oh boy. In the Manga he’s hilarious. I never got around to finishing the anime though, but if they kept it as close to the original story as it had been while i was, then you already know. XD

And… I did give points for Papillon (Or however you spell that)
I even gave him the op image for being the best character in the entire show LOL xD

Ah Buso Renkin…… the Manga is actually better, but you can’t take it seriously, at least to me you shouldn’t. The Opening song is probably one of the reasons why i find it to be more of a comedic series than serious one. Then again, i love Nobuhiro Watsuki, so perhaps i’m biased since i like Rurouni Kenshin. Either way, if you want a “typical shounen action story” this is probably a good one to pick.

On a side-note… you have to give the creator some points for some of the oddest/funniest villains in a series like this. lol Watsuki is very odd himself anyway lol
