An Cafe, a famous Visual-Kei band, will be suspending activities after their live concert on January 4 2010, at the Nippon Budokan.

An Cafe on Hiatus in 2010

Announced on the official website on Monday – The band had many discussions with their staff, and it was decided that the members would take some time to recharge and prepare for an eventual restart of the band. However, the length of their hiatus was not specified.

Formed in 2003, An Cafe has found popularity not only in Japan, but overseas as well. They have performed multiple times in the United States and across Europe.

You might know An Café for performing “Kakusei Heroism ~The Hero Without A Name~,” the second opening theme song to the Darker than BLACK anime series.

I’m not a big fan of Visual-Kei to begin with, but I have definitely heard of them at least =3. What about you?

    I hear about them alot~

Knowing the media… its one of two reasons
1: Oversaturation/Overexposure: If you see someone too much you don’t like them anymore xP
Maybe they hope their career will get a jump start after some time off when people have a chance to miss them.

    2. Drugs xD

On another note… that one in the back with the glasses doesn’t seem to fit with the rest of them…
He’s the only without an emo haircut.

@Bluesnow: The one with the glasses is Yuuki – whose trademark appearance is a orange curly wig, glasses, and a hat. He jokes about the fans not knowing whether he is Japanese or not – but there is proof on Youtube that he in fact is Japanese.
