Good news to those who have subscribed to the Animax channel! The long awaited final season for the Inuyasha anime series will be aired on Animax all across Asia on October 10, which is just 7 days after its debut in Japan! Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood was another anime which had the same 7-day simulcast treatment on Animax. However, there is one other anime which holds the title of “Fastest Simulcasted Anime”, and that is Tears to Tiara. Tears to Tiara is the world’s first anime to be simulcasted on the same time as Japan.

That’s not all Animax has to offer. Apparently, they are starting something called “catch-up TV”. It is an online streaming service which will provide viewers with episodes of The Final Act, 7 days after its telecast on Animax (therefore 2 weeks after Japan’s telecast). However, each episode will only be hosted on their website for a month. After that, it will be deleted. There are no details yet as to whether the online streaming service will be free for everybody or exclusive for the channel’s subscribers.

Inuyasha: The Final Act will be the last season of the series and it will finally give the anime adaptation a proper closure. The 26-episode season will continue from where the anime series had left off, finishing the final 21 compiled book volumes. The original staff and cast are working on the series, so no worries about Inuyasha or Kagome getting a different voice actor ^_^. As for the opening and ending theme songs, they will be performed by Do as Infinity and AAA respectively.

I really like the fact that Animax is making an effort to simulcast ongoing anime series from Japan. It goes to show that nowadays there are more and more people who loves anime =D.
