SCANDAL – Best Scandal [21.10.09]
So, as I’ve mentioned in my previous post, SCANDAL is releasing a ‘Best Scandal’ which is something like a BEST of SCANDAL which will include 13 tracks from their previous works.

The release comes in 3 editions. First is the Regular Edition priced at 3,059 yen. Then there’s the Limited Edition with the DVD (Music Videos!) priced at 3,500 yen. Lastly, there’s the Limited Edition with the Photo Book priced at 4,500 yen.
The tracks should include the following
- SAKURAグッバイ (SAKURA GOODBYE)
- TOKYO
- DOLL
- S.L. Magic
- 少女S (ShoujoS)
- ナツネイロ (Natsuneiro)
- SO EASY
- FUTURE
- 恋模様 (Koi Moyo)
- LOVE FRUIT
- SPACE RANGER
- KAGEROU
These are 12/13 of the tracks I’ve heard from SCANDAL before. As to what the last track is, I have no idea. It could be DAYDREAM, seeing how as it was released before in the JUDY and MARY 15th Anniversary Tribute Album. Or perhaps it could be their rendition of Don’t Say Lazy which was featured on MUSIC JAPAN.
Personally, I’m thinking of getting the Limited Edition with the Photo Book because SCANDAL is just so awesome yeah.
Ooh! I love it when artists compile their songs into an album like this. YUI’s MY Short Stories made me extremely happy.
Anyway… I’m excited about this album, because (like you said) SCANDAL is so awesome. :D

I pre-ordered the CD with Photobook.
The new CD is very good.
There were ~2 songs which have a jazz-like melody which really surprised me!
Guess the group is slowly maturing and developing more of their musical style and tastes.
The photobook was …. a disappointment :(
The pictures were 1) slightly blurry, 2) grainy and 3) dark!
It looks like the band was photographed in a dark warehouse with the lights shut off!
It wouldn’t be so bad if the pictures did not appear blurry!
Even advertisements had better pictures or better focus than the pictures in the picture book!
The picture book was a major let down and wasn’t worth the extra money!
Also, anyone know why the band chose a Circus theme for their covers? The best cover was on the regular edition CD!
Anyway… overall star rating would be 4/5 stars.
It should deserve a 3/5 rating but I really like the group and their new songs so I gave it 4/5 instead.
BTW… Someone did post copies of the pictures from the picture book online in their blog even you want to see the pictures!
