Top 10 Anime You’d Like To See Continued
I was inspired to make this post because of this post on what Japan’s Top 10 list of Manga they’d like to see continued.
No real stats on this list though, Just my personal Preferences.
As I was making it up I couldn’t help but wonder why girl oriented anime series, or rather why all my favorite series, always seems to end without a completion.
1. Rurouni Kenshin (Remade or Continued)
2. Ouran High School Host Club
3. Kare Kano (Remade or Continued)
4. Berserk
5. Skip Beat
6. 12 Kingdoms
7. Fruits Basket
8. Seto no Hanayome
9. Hakushaku to Yousei
10. Saiunkoku Monogatari
*11. X (Remade Please)
On this list, besides Berserk, which has a small rumor circulating about another season or a movie, all other series have died with no mention of a future continuation. Rurouni Kenshin ended before its MAIN arc, Fruits Basket and Ouran had a filler ending only 1/2 through, Kare Kano ended with no attempted conclusion at all, as did Skip Beat. I am unsure what was left of Hakushaku to Yousei, 12 Kingdoms, and Saiunkoku Monogatari (all based on novels), but their endings felt lacking like there was more story left to delve into. Seto no Hanayome I would like to see more of just for the lulz. And X by clamp gets an honorable mention, though they would not be able to make a new series till they actually finished the manga which has been put on hold indefinitely it seems.
What are the anime you want to see continued the most? Any that you want remade?

@Farolare: Totally forgot about FMP~ The second raid was awesome and then it just ended as they introduce a new awesome character xD
And lol… and so far Rurouni Kenshin and 12 Kingdoms is on all three of our lists.

Good call on OHSHC; was not ready for that series to end. I don’t know if I can come up with a top ten but I really would have loved more Princess Nine, Fate/Stay Night, Higurashi and the fabled third season of the Onegai series (Onegai Sensei/Twins)

I’d like to see more Skip Beat and Ouran Host Club.
More Haruhi might be nice too… though not if whoever decided to pull the Endless Eight stunt is still involved.
A new version of Kare Kano would be welcome… I loved the anime until it turned into a train-wreck in the last couple of episodes.

@Morpheous: I recommend you read the manga, Kare Kano manga is just amazing~ I don’t think I’ve ever been so emotionally moved by any other series.
It makes you wonder why the anime stopped right before the best parts…

I agree that the Kare Kano manga is amazing – I never regretted buying the 20+ volumes. I started reading it as soon as I realized the anime had a non-ending.
If I remember correctly, there was some sort of disagreement between the author and the studio over how the anime was being handled, so that may have had something to do with the abrupt non-ending.
I’m tempted to pick up the Ouran Host Club and/or Skip Beat manga, but I don’t really have the room on my shelves for any more long-ish series.

Ichigo 100%. We all know what happens in the manga, obviously, but I’d love to see some conclusion with the anime. Especially if it differs from the manga. More Death Note would be amazing. More GTO would be amazing (but I’m sure the new mangas will be turned into anime sooner or later). This is a stretch… Ranma 1/2. Seriously… After all those episodes and all these years later… I’m still waiting for stupid Ranma to admit his feelings and there be this big conclusion. A movie would be nice. More Love Hina would be EPIC…. I’m sure I am forgetting something, but this is enough for now.
