Hirano Aya 平野 綾
AYA-SAMA finally makes her appearance on Seiyuu Sunday. I have been wanting to do a post on her during the last week of August due to her recent performance at Animelo. She was the opening act along with Nana Mizuki on Day 2 of Animelo.
Name: 平野 綾
Country: Aichi Prefecture, Japan
Birthday: 1987年10月8日
Blood Type: O
Website: http://www.hiranoaya.com//
You might probably know her from:
- Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka (TV) as Minato Nagase
- Bakemonogatari (TV) as Shinobu Oshino
- Buso Renkin (TV) as Mahiro Muto
- Chiko, Heiress of the Phantom Thief (TV) as Chiko
- Death Note (TV) as Misa Amane
- Dragonaut – The Resonance (TV) as Garnet McLane
- Fairy Tail (TV) as Lucy Heartfilia
- Lucky Star (TV) as Konata Izumi
- Maria Holic (TV) as Shizu Shidō
- (The) Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (TV 2009 renewal) as Haruhi Suzumiya
- White Album (TV) as Yuki Morikawa
She’s probably best known for 1)Being Suzumiya Haruhi or 2)Being Izumi Konata. Aya-sama’s talents do not just lie in Anime though. She, along with the rest of the Haruhi crew performed at Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou in 2007, which was essentially a large, live Haruhi Festival. She released her album, Riot Girl, last year. She’s also the host of Moegaku★5. Multi-talented. She was also performing at Animelo as well. It was earlier mentioned that she opened the 2nd day alongside Nana Mizuki. She also, carried on with a second song, Super Driver, which is the new opening song for the new episodes in Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu.
Her other roles are very much notable as well, but they don’t really stand out as much as the roles of Haruhi and Konata. She was great as Chiko in Nijuu Mensou no Musume (Chiko, Heriess of the Phantom Thief), not to mention she sang the ED(Unnamed World) which was a really great song. She had a minor cameo in Maria Holic as Mariya’s twin sister. She’ll also be appearing in the coming fall season with 2 notable roles. Yuki in White Album Season 2 and Lucy in Fairy Tail.
And these are the characters she has voiced.
Till today, she remains one of my favourite seiyuus cause I just love her voice and cause she’s so kawaii every time I get to watch her. Mm, so high at the moment. Just watched the 3rd Bleach Movie and Aya had a big role in it. :D
“Mm, so high at the moment.”
That means ur fanboying. ;)
Her role as Haruhi and Konata are the best roles I know of.
Not really my favourite singer as I prefer her seiyuu works than her singing.

@ Optic I agree. She is a better Seiyuu than singer. That is not to say I don’t like her singing.

hmm I’m pretty ok with her singing, but I prefer the voice that she used to sing in the first season of Haruhi than the second season OP.

Aya is one of my favorite seiyuu, and I think Chiko in Nijuu Mensou no Musume was my favorite of her roles (though she was also great as Haruhi, Konata and Misa.)

Very memorable seiyuu for Haruhi and Konata. I thought she did a great job at those roles.

I think her role as Lumiere in Kiddy Grade was also a pretty vital role for her. Especially since she was 14 at the time.

@DjKonflikt I had more or less forgotten about Lumiere (it’s been so long since I’ve seen Kiddy Grade). That was another strong performance.

@DjKonflikt
Hmm. I never caught Kiddy Grade. Think I’ll go check it out.
