Final Fantasy XIV Beta Only For The PC
Oh my… Never in my wildest dream will I be expecting the PC to get such an exclusive treatment. The Final Fantasy XIV beta will be available only for the PC.
Hiromichi Tanaka, director of FFXIV, told Game Watch that 10, 000 lucky people will be able to participate in the closed beta before it is open to public. No other details have been released about the beta, but you can expect it to come around Summer 2010 =).
Seriously, I have never seen the PC getting such exclusive content for such a big title ever since… Oh sorry I can’t even remember -.-. Usually, as you all know, game developers are more focused on consoles. Hell, not just game developers, almost everybody are more focused on consoles. Now, I’m not saying the consoles are bad or anything. In fact, I find that they are awesome gaming systems! (Even considering getting a PS3 myself). But I just don’t like the treatment given to PC gamers that’s all. I have talked about this with M a lot, so he should know how long I can go on about this XD. Don’t worry, I will not bore you guys with my rant =).
Back to the topic at hand, FFXIV is still very early in the development stage, so the release date is just a blunt TBA 2010. If you want to take a glimpse at some of the things FFXIV has to offer, you can view the TGS trailer here. Anybody already planning to get this game? I know reader Donyea will =).

It’s been a while since I’ve played an MMORPG (Guild Wars). Due to the fact that they are considerably time consuming, I am not sure whether I want to play this one.
But it’s interesting to note that this shall be the first time Sony’s Playstation will not be involved with a Final Fantasy game since FFVII (excluding re-releases).

LOL there will be other things which are poison-able so don’t worry ;) gonna play M’s PS3 some time next week.. Want to get used to the controls and dashboard and whatnot.

I’m not sure when is the last time I played an MMORPG as well. It’s not like the gameplay is bad or anything, but I’m just not into grinding. But then again, whats an MMORPG without some grinding huh?
Either ways, I’m probably gonna take part in the beta, but little hopes of me actually buying the retail version because I’m not really into the monthly subscription thing.
