It has been almost 2 months since I last posted about the single being available for preorder. Out officially on 7 October 2009, this single is brilliant. And YUI has a new hairstyle! (Shocked me a lot)

Track-listing of the single:

  1. It’s all too much
  2. Never say die
  3. again ~YUI Acoustic Version~
  4. It’s all too much ~Instrumental~

YUI - It’s all too much/Never say die

It’s all too much is the theme song of the movie Kaiji which is out today in Japan, while Never say die is the insert song for the movie. Personally I prefer Never say die. Guess it was the PV of Never say die that did the trick ^^”. The way YUI sang performed in the PV was brilliant. Guess she totally blew me away. And all the girls running on the field playing soccer was just awesome XD.

Enjoy Track #2

I… like It’s All Too Much, however Never Say Die just hasn’t clicked with me ever since the PV came out. I mean, it’s okay, but she’s done better and it seems like much more of a B-side track than A-side. Then again, she never included Understand on a regular album, and it was part of a double A-side single. I’m hoping that happens here lol. Don’t get me wrong, i love Yui, but sometimes her songs don’t sit well with me despite that love lol.

I think Again/Sea would have been a great idea for a double A-side.

    @ guuzen
it spells qwertyuiop on the top 3rd row of letters on a standard english qwerty keyboard. meaning yui is spelled in order on every keyboard. useless discovery but yeah ;o

    Mm.

I wanted to write a post for this single but apparently Zeni had written this about an entire day before me.

    Anyhows,

It’s All Too Much has a nice ring to it but after watching the PV, I keep envisioning cracking glass and a deranged YUI dancing about. Never say die however is essentially my favourite song of the moment. Catchy and the PV had soccer playing girls. What’s there not to love. :D

@ guuzen: Seriously, you need to think more >_>

@ M: I love Never say die :D. Awww. I’ll leave the other single for you to do, unless you don’t want to? :P

@Zen: Do i EVER buy the single? lol. If it didn’t cost me my first and second-born children, i would buy the majority of the music i have. (not that i have kids, i’m just making an example here). Things are a lot easier/cheaper for you, i’m very sure Zen. That doesn’t mean i don’t like the artist, nor do i not support them. If i lived in japan, or even where you live, i would probably fork out the money for the majority of the artists i enjoy, just like i did for Utada Hikaru’s “This is the One” album…. might i add i bought the single “Come Back to Me” as well as both the Japanese AND American versions of the album. If it’s easily accessible, i will get it.

But yes… the single is okay, but i think Again (as a whole) is stronger.

@ kurando: I’m sorry, under what impression do you have that I get them locally? I order them from Japan directly -_-. And if you say I get them cheaper, my sucky SGD dollar is worse than your dollar.

    It’s around 1.60 SGD = 100 yen, while 1.10 USD = 100 yen. Which is better? >_>

@ zenical but how much per hour would you typically make on a part time or fast-food job and on a full time job? it’s really not a problem of value for individuals if those rates can be fairly comparable on an average level. though i havent even factored in other expenses like cost of living and market values.

@ atmchino: I’m not working(studying now!) if thats what you’re asking, but if I’m not wrong, working at a fast food place would give 4-5 SGD per hour. And we still have retirement expenses they deduct from your pay, which is 20% of your monthly pay :(

well I just try my best to purchase whatever singles/albums I can, since the artists don’t really release a lot of singles/albums a year. They normally have around 2-3 singles, and 1 album. How can I die? Lol.

  • kurando said:

@Zen: well i figured it was at least EASIER for you to get them lol. Maybe it’s just me… oh well. Either way, being geographically closer probably makes the process better for you if anything. Plus… probably less shipping. :P Then again, i’m poor so buying albums as much as i’d like to would probably kill me…

    [Reply]

  • atmchino said:

@ zenical wow. retirement expenses? 20% is way too much, unless you’ve got really good healthcare coverage or a retirement package. so you’re paying nearly $7 (.39/$-usd) more + shipping + tax/customs for a LE cd? ow…

  • zenical (author) said:

@ atmchino: Hm, the goods aren’t taxed as long as we don’t go over the limit of 400 dollars. an Limited Edition single cost me about 35-40 dollars, including shipping. Even though shipping might be lower for me, but my dollar sucks. So overall, it’s almost the same as shipping over to the US.

I just have this passion for the music I love where money is just a small issue :D

@ zen and that’s why artists would do well to recognize their fans outside their country. it’s a global media phenomenon that will only grow in the future.
