Valkyria Chronicles 2 - Website Update (October)

It seems like there are some new contents included in the official website. The sections which were updated are the Keyword, Battlefield, Download, and Blog. The News section is also updated, but the new article is just listing the new contents added to the website.

There are a few updates, but only some of them interest me. First, is a brand new trailer from the recent Tokyo Game Show as you can see above. It starts off with a mini recap of what happened 2 years ago (events in the first game), and then the video moves on to talk about the Lanseal Royal Military Academy, the school where our new heroes are attending. The Gallian Revolutionary Army also made their appearance, revealing the leader and their Darcsen onslaught.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 - Alias

Remember this new unknown Valkyria? Well, she now has a name thanks to the new trailer! Her name is called Alias. I’m not sure which faction is she working for, but looking at her costume design I won’t be surprised if she is on the Gallian Revolutionary Army’s side.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 - Lancer

Apart from the new trailer, there are 2 new gameplay footage. The first one showcases the anti-tank unit (Lancer), while the other shows some sort of medic class (not playable in the first game). I can’t find the videos on YouTube, so you guys will have to visit here and here. How the girl manage to carry that big ass lance, I will never know >.<.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 - FanSite Kit Banner

For those of you who are interested to create a VC2 fan site, there is a fan site kit available for download in the Download page. If you don’t want to create a fan site, you can indulge yourself with some awesome screenshots, pictures, and concept art =). You may even be pleasantly surprised at some never-before-seen contents.

Quite a nice update don’t you think so? Hope there will be more updates in the future as the game inches closer and closer to the Japanese’s January 21, 2010 release date. The English release is still listed as Summer 2010.

First I was like ‘Wow! News on more Valkyria! I just finished watching the animu!!!’
Then I was like ‘Dohh! This is about a new game, not animu…’
Then I was like ‘But wait! This is for the PSP and I lurve PSP games!’
Then I was like ‘Dohh! But this has a fat chance of being converted into English and I have zero Japanese…’

Now I don’t know what to think.

As zen said, veyr expensive. RRP on the PSPGO is 450AUD = 570SG. YES, 570SG. SHOCKING AS IT IS, IT’S TRUE.
but according to Zen, she found a place selling it for 365SG = 290AUD. To me, that’s a STEAL. XD

It’s just an estimation lol. But it should be around 400 SGD, the most =3.

Thanks very much – my day is now officially made.

As far as the PSP ‘Go’ is concerned – no thanks, I’ll stick to my hackable older models with decent sized screens (yes I know the resolution is the same, but the ‘Go’ screen is just too damn small), and I’ve never liked ’slide-up’ designs on phones, so I don’t want the same on a hand-held.

You’re welcome! And you’re not the only one who dislikes the sliding feature. Our very own Zenical hates ’slide-up’ designs as well =). I think the PSPGO is more for people who are new to the whole PSP business, and not for owners of the older PSP consoles.
