Here’s the PV of Hoshimura Mai’s regret,
This is a beautiful single because all 3 songs are brilliant tracks in their own ways. regret was the 7th Ending song to D.Gray Man and honestly, I didn’t know about that till I did some research on Wikipedia. Oh yes, I have a very bad habit of just skipping through the ED songs as they’re usually filled with credits more than animations. But back on the subject, regret is a really beautiful song because it’s about the protagonist’s regrets of not saying what she wants to say.
For example, a translation of a portion of the lyrics,
Your figure slipped out of my sight before me
I didn’t say the only, single thing I wanted to – “Don’t leave me”
Really beautiful stuff. Love Tuning is my least favourite track out of all 3 main tracks. I’m not liking the beat for the song. It just hasn’t clicked that well with me. So yeah, I shall not bash it and just leave it at this. It’s just not to my taste.
And finally, Sakura Biyori X Oshio Kotaro. This track is essentially an acoustic version of Sakura Biyori which was one of Bleach’s many many EDs. Once again, another beautiful song with beautiful lyrics. I fell in love with the song the moment I heard it. And when I started researching the lyrics, loved the song even more. It essentially tells the tale of an unfuffiled romance that blossomed under the sakura trees. Aww….
The single was only released with a Regular Edition print and it is priced at 1,223 yen.
I’m not exactly the biggest Hoshimura Mai fan, but 2 out of 3 songs in the single are worth getting because they just sound really nice and have awesome lyrics. So get your copy at CDJapan today.
With that being said and done, this will be my last Musical Corner for a while. School’s starting soon and I’d like to see how my schedule pans out first before resuming doing MC. So unless I’ve got lots of free spots in my timetable and little homework, I’ll see you guys sometime in late November. Till then. :D
