Looks like there will be a new male Vocaloid Virtual Singer soon – that means more goodies for Vocaloid fans to buy! O_O. It has been reported that Kouya Matsuo, a musician who has created songs with the Hatsune Miku virtual singer’s synthesized voice, reported on his blog on Wednesday that he listened to a “new male Vocaloid” virtual singer.

New Male Vocaloid Virtual Singer Soon!

The name of the virtual singer cannot be revealed yet.

He noted, though, that the person is a popular young seiyuu like the previous participants in Crypton Future Media’s Character Vocal series. Sasaki added that the person is a DTM user who has personally used Hatsune Miku’s voice and had personally requested to be on the new project. According to Matsuo, more information on the new Vocaloid character will be revealed this week.

I’m not a big fan of Miku, or any other Vocaloid singers :3. At one point I got sucked into buying a Miku Nendoroid but after that I regretted buying her. LOL. Still, I can’t wait for more information of the new Vocaloid singer. It’s a male after all. I can be excited! :D

Somehow, I doubt a male vocaloid will equal Miku in popularity. (Not that I quite understand why she is so popular… yes, she’s cute but her singing voice is a little too robotic for my taste.)
