That’s right, you read it right. Yui Makino, will be making her way down to Singapore this December 26, 2009 for a special appearance and a separate musical performance later in the evening. Woohoo!

EOY 09: Yui Makino Is Coming To Singapore!

In December 2009, Yui will be coming to EOY 2009 as a guest artiste and will be performing a few songs during the day event, and will also hold her own musical concert in the evening.

Tickets to her concert start from $49, and all tickets to her concert will be given free entry to EOY’s day event.

Though I’m not a big fan of Yui Makino, I definitely heard of her! OMG. DO WANT TO GO. Gyuu. They should bring in the other Yui seiyuu though. *cough* (fangirl disappears to cry)

And here’s more information of her in case you have no idea who she is^^”:

Makino took up piano at the age of four. Her talent for playing piano was discovered by the film director Shunji Iwai when she was seven years old and from the age of 8 to 17, she played piano solos for three of his films: Love Letter, All About Lily Chou-Chou and Hana and Alice.

She made her debut as a singer in 2005 with “Omna Magni”, produced by Yoko Kanno. It was used as the ending theme song for the anime Sousei no Aquarion. In the April of the same year, she also debuted as a seiyū, starring as heroine Sakura in Tsubasa Chronicle and recording several songs for its soundtrack. She released “Amrita”, the theme song for the Tsubasa Chronicle film, as well as “Undine”, the opening theme for the TV Tokyo anime Aria the Animation, coupled with its inserted song “Symphony”. It achieved #25 on the Oricon chart.

On 2006, Makino released two songs from another TV Tokyo anime, Aria the Natural, the theme song “Euphoria” and insert song “Amefuribana”. They were released on one product and achieved #18 on the Oricon chart. She released her debut album, Tenkyū no Ongaku on 6 December 2006.

In 2007, she was invited to represent Japan at the Japan-China cultural exchange event. She also released two singles for the programmes Sketchbook ~full color’s~ and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle. [Wikipedia]

Looks like this year is really an interesting year for fans in Singapore. I’m not getting the concert ticket for AFA09, but this is something I can’t miss XD.

    I really never listened to her music. The song I do like I really like. It seems like a great deal.
    @ Optic: 1 week is plenty long.

    @Optic:

    If one week is enough for me to study for two exams and keep up with classes (yeah classes still go on as usual when I write midterms) and kendo, then it’s long enough XD

    $49 bucks is really cheap for concert tickets. But honestly I have no idea who she is.

    She does a good concert and I would highly recommend going if you have the chance. I would think most folks would know her musical work from Aria, if anything else ^^;;
