My Birthday Last Week – What Happened

As many of you remembered, it was my birthday last week.. I wanted to blog about what I did during that week, but I just got too busy and tired that I kept procrastinating! XD So here is my late post of what happened last week ^^.

My Birthday Last Week - What Happened

Yes here is my birthday cake. Er blueberry cheesecake? XD. I didn’t actually display it nicely for a shot since I cut my cake early in the morning(I had lessons from 8.30am till 3pm T_T. How sad is that?!)

My Birthday Last Week - What Happened

As part of the Chinese tradition I had to eat hard-boiled eggs. Actually I have no idea how many I am supposed to eat. I just peeled two as ordered by my mother :3.

My Birthday Last Week - What Happened

And this is another cake from one of my seniors in class. Knowing her for years, she bought a slice of sponge cake for me. Well it’s the thought that counts right? Heh.

My Birthday Last Week - What Happened

My presents.. I still have like 3-4 more from friends, yet to get them! :D. Well hopefully soon yes?

My Birthday Last Week - What Happened

And yes, I told M I wanted K-ON! slippers. And he wanted to order Mugi and Ritsu for me, but I was so against it. So here are K-ON! slippers from him. I will be wearing these this Saturday for “you-know-what”! *Hint hint*

My Birthday Last Week - What Happened

I requested these gifts from friends too. Clearly, having me as their friend can be very stressful – as they have no freaking idea what to get for me =X.

I had an early celebration with my family on 30 October 2009. We went for a buffet. It was around 30 plus per person with lots of good food. My friends attempted to ask me out for a celebration on Saturday as they were free that weekend, but clearly I wasn’t. Had lots of work. ><

But nevertheless, those minions still came to surprise me on Sunday(1 November 2009). I was tricked by them into going out to collect my present from them! What was supposed to be a short meetup for my present became a night of fun for us. I invited them over to my house for a session of Rockband(since it was pretty bad of me to chase them home after getting my present :P)

My Birthday Last Week - What Happened

My mini cake they bought for me. Heh :) From Monday to Wednesday, it was school. Yes the last day of lessons for the week was on my birthday. How sad is that?!

On Thursday, met up with M and Guuzen for a celebration (and also to get my present from M and pass him his stuff >_>) Poor M had to go to school after that while me and Guuzen went home to “sleep” LOL. Those two guys treated me to pizza :D, so yes thanks a lot! Do we have to have a meal for Christmas? O.o. Haha. I collected my Saber Lily Nendoroid from another friend on Friday, and that was the last day of “fun” for me as I came down with a fever on Friday night ><. Mehh.

Overall it was quite an exciting birthday year as I was granted the permission to smack my university friends as much as I wanted since I was the birthday girl :D. The only downside was I had to see this girl in class whom I’m not very fond of.. Apparently she was trying to tease me for having lessons until 3pm on my birthday, but well I wasn’t going to let her, so I just ignored her all the way during class – she never got the chance to tease me at all ;)

So here I am blogging now, still feeling sick. Hopefully I will be able to recover as soon as possible.

Nice presents, my birthday presents just usually consist of cash. I don’t think I eat hard boiled eggs on my birthday and I’m Chinese. Guess I’m out of the loop on traditions. =O

Just asked a friend about eggs on birthday and apparently it’s supposed to be red (dyed) eggs. The tradition is apparently very old:

i usually follow the “carry the chocolate, the red envelope, eat the chicken, noodles, and don’t wash self/cut nails” tradition.

and smacking your friends? i guess you’ve never heard of birthday punches…>=]

@ Yuki-To: I think they’re pretty cheap.. Lol. Anyway the cake is just a thought haha. Because I seriously don’t get the hype over cakes, I just want a cake to eat on my birthday! LOL

@ Reltair: Got cash too, but presents allow me to post them up! LOL As for the egg tradition, I don’t think it’s common since a lot of the other dudes here didn’t heard of it before lol

@ Optic: Woohoooo :D You can stare at everyone’s slippers.. that would help.. lol

@ M: I told my friend about her, she knew about this tradition. Think we are too young and we don’t bother about traditions anymore :( LOL

@ Blowfish: We have new eggs coming in from the Supermarket weekly, so no way those are old eggs! =P

@ zh3us: Must it be red or what? No idea man. Er for Sat, discuss on msn. Replied to you last night but you went to sleep already ^^”

@ Q: Oh I see….. Doesn’t matter since we are still going to eat the egg. LOL. Plus I don’t do this egg thing every year. Somehow my mother did it this year for some reason o.o

    @ bluesnow: Lol go buy the book =X. Lol I knew my post with cakes would tempt you now. I need to lose weight because I ate too much cakes D;

@ atmchino: No noodles for me. heh. Yeah I heard of birthday punches, but this year it’s different, got the chance to smack people instead. lol.
