I too hope that my country gets an English friendly release! We have a local cinema company called Cathay that sometimes show anime movies like Toki o Kakeru Shoujo and Evangelion 2.0, so I really hope UBW will be screened as well.
By the way, did FUNimation license the FSN series in the States? If so then I guess there will be a high chance that this gets a DVD release as well =).

Yeah I was thinking the same thing as well! Can tell with the level of detail of the lightings being projected on the characters. The visual effects are also way better than the anime series =).
