How many of you are smokers? Can’t resist the urge to have a puff? You have to be careful when you’re in Japan, strict regulations are placed for some cities. Light a stick along the sidewalk and you’ll be fined ><

Free Smoking Space

As such, you have to find places like this – Free Smoking Space to have your puff.

I seriously hate the smell of cigarette smoke, and I tend to hold my breathe whenever I walked past a dude who’s smoking. Smoking is ban at several places in Singapore, and I doubt that we have “No Smoking Cops” to fine whoever who breaks it. What about you? Smoking is common everywhere?

I do the same thing too – holding my breath while passing a smoker. Non-smoking areas do exist but not enough law enforcement =(

There are also small booths for smoking right? Saw it in Sunred LOL

Smoking is really common in Malaysia and the Government is trying to decrease the amount of smokers by doing the ” Tak Nak !” campaign and increasing the price of cigarettes .

I usually hold my breath whenever theres a smoker near me .

@ maru & @Densha Otoko: not enough here too. I heard that certain places like pubs have “no smoking” rules, though I’m not very sure myself. I watched it on news. There were folks complaining about the law because pubs = smoking. MEHH >_>

@ Donyea: Wow looks like a lot of folks don’t like the smell of smokers too :D

While my mother hates smokers, I don’t mind too much unless they smoke in really confine areas; the worst case I had was my exchange partner and his friend smoking inside a taxi when I was doing a German exchange several years ago. The driver didn’t seem to care (I guess it’s not disallowed?), but they realised that I wasn’t so fond of it soon so they stopped.

Afaik I do not know smokers-only area in Hong Kong except for those smoking rooms in airports. Over there too they have ’smoker police’ who will patrol around and fine people who are smoking in areas they are not supposed to (that includes some parks too to their and my surprise). While in a way it’s good that smoking becomes less of a problem for non-smokers, I feel sorry for the smokers though as I don’t really know where are not disallowed these days that are indoor.

confine areas = sucky :( I don’t feel sorry for them since they made me choke when I had a cough. LOL! Smelling all the smoke made my dry cough react T_T
