The movie all of you might have been waiting for, well maybe all – premiered on February 6. Just how well did the movie do?

According to Rentrak Theatrical, the first ever Haruhi film earned US$566,802 in 24 theaters and a nine-day total of US$2,749,895. In contrast, Macross Frontier ~Itsuwari no Utahime~, the first Macross Frontier film, earned US$2,627,707 in nine days on 30 screens.

The power of Haruhi fans is shown by a difference of $100,000! Folks who are in Japan might want to catch the movie, and for people like us who can’t go to Japan right NOW, we have to wait for the DVD/Blu-ray release! While I don’t think I have any friends who are in Japan right now to catch this movie, I think I heard of some folks who happen to be in Japan, and they caught the Nanoha Movie! :3
