Motion Controller is PlayStation Move
The new motion controller that you might have been looking forward to has a name, finally. The device, known as the PlayStation Move, will be hitting stores this fall. As mentioned, the Playstation Move is a set of devices. There’s the Playstation Move Motion Controller, which resembles and functions like a Wiimote, and also the Playstation Move Sub Controller, which functions like the Wii’s Nunchuck attachment.
The Motion Controller uses a three-axis gyroscope, a three-axis accelerometer, and a terrestrial magnetic field sensor to detect player hand movements. When the Motion Controller is paired with the required PlayStation Eye USB camera, the PS3 can precisely detect the controller’s absolute position. The device also has action buttons and an analogue trigger.
Apparently the sphere changes color and patterns. What type of patterns exactly?
The Sub Controller, similar to the Wii’s Nunchuck device, is meant to be a support device for controls that would be difficult with the Motion Controller alone. The device has an analogue stick and d-pad, allowing for character movement and directional input. Players can also use the Dual Shock or Six Axis controllers in place of the Sub Controller.
So far, Sony has 36 companies signed up to produce compatible games.
So is this a good excuse to switch from Wii to PS3? Or will it be different? The sphere thingy looks rather fragile to me.. Well, I won’t mind giving it a try if I do have games compatible with Move.

I dont see me switching from wii for motion Controls unless this is affordable and has more than 36 games for it unless all the games are good. I am getting a PS3 soon though.

Getting PS3 for FF13? ;) Well I don’t know what other new games they might come out. Heard that there was a confirmed list of games set for the Move. I just have to see whether it’s similar to the Wii..
