Nintendo 3DS Not Suitable For Kids Under 7
There are tons of positive receptions from people who managed to get a hold of the Nintendo 3DS at E3, saying the 3D effect really works and the quality of the video/in-game graphics are quite impressive for a handheld. However there is something that parents should take note…

Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo America stated that the 3DS is not advisable for children under the age of 7. Here is the reason:
“We will recommend that very young children not look at 3D images. That’s because, [in] young children, the muscles for the eyes are not fully formed… This is the same messaging that the industry is putting out with 3D movies, so it is a standard protocol.”

Nintendo consoles are usually targeted by parents as suitable products for their kids, so I feel that this is unfortunate news for them. I guess some parents may need to scratch the 3DS off their “Christmas presents for the kids” list. Remember, health comes first!
