Final Fantasy XIII, after many years, it was finally release in Japan in December 2009, and worldwide in March 2010. I’m sure most of you gotten the game and have completed it. For me I have yet to finish it. Guess procrastination is getting to me ^^. The upcoming Final Fantasy game from Square Enix, Final Fantasy XIV, has been dated for the PC. It will be out this September 30 2010. It is a worldwide release. Yes, no more Japan first, USA later :P.

The game will be offered in standard and Collectors Edition forms. Both are priced “open.” Players who purchase the Collectors Edition will be able to play the game earlier as it will arrive on the 22nd. The Collectors Edition includes a number of attractive bonuses:

  • It ships in a box with images from Yoshitaka Amano on one side and Akihiko Yoshida on the other.
  • FFXIV making-of DVD titled “Eorzea: The Making of a Realm”
  • A hard cover picture case that houses the game and making-of DVD
  • FFXIV original tumble
  • FFXIV original design security token.

Buyers of both versions will get exclusive in-game items. The Collectors Edition comes with a code for a helmet(Picture on left) that reduces the penalty when you’re paralyzed. The standard version includes a code for goggles(Picture on right) that increase the speed of your skill growth.

In addition, if you bought Final Fantasy XIII [First Print] which gave you a beta code, you can use the beta code to obtain the Ashura Arm Guard item!

Playing Final Fantasy XIV won’t be free – players have to pay. It’s 1,344 yen for 30 days play time. All buyers will get 30 days free.

Sadly no news of the PS3 Version yet, it’s scheduled to be out sometime in March 2011. Square Enix will announce pricing and usage fees much later on.

Quite excited for this game, I like MMORPG! What about you?

I’ve been waiting for this, but now I don’t know if I’m going to have the free time to keep up with a MMO.
