I love Blu-ray. I find that Live Concerts on Blu-ray extremely clear – DVD versions are still acceptable, but once I watched the Blu-ray version I can’t go back to DVD anymore. LOL. Anyway folks who have been wondering whether you will get to Haruhi/Mikuru/Yuki in 1080p, you will now. The BD Box is confirmed. CDJapan has also started preorders for the Blu-ray Box!!

Anime Title: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Blu-ray Complete BOX [Limited Edition]
Catalog Number:
KAXA-2000
Release Date: 22 October 2010
Retail Price
: 39,900 yen
Preorder at: CDJapan

Total of 8 discs, 5 will be for the anime(total of 28 episodes for Season 1 & 2). 2 discs will be for the Gekisou(only concert recorded) and Gensou events, while the remaining disc is bonus footage – CMs, promotional footage, and location scouting.

You know what’s the best part? English Subtitles are included. So if you have been a pirate because Japan do not know how to provide English subtitles all along, they are providing now, so do your part and buy the anime >_<. We gotta support the industry!

Where do you see that? The CDJapan page you linked specifically says “Subtitles: None”
