Lots Of Japanese Girls Feel Inferior To Virtual Ones
Well this certainly was an interesting read. I was looking around Kotaku and I came across this article.
300 Japanese woman took an online survey and more than half of them feel that they could not match up to virtual girls on screens. Here are what some of them said:
“There’s no way I can beat that level of cuteness.”
“They’re made to be the ideal girlfriend after all.”

Well the second quote pretty much says it all. These perfect “girls” are MADE that way. Most guys (I hope) will not choose virtual girlfriends over real ones unless they have some sort of complex. Another thing to note, sometimes when your virtual girlfriend says “I love you” in a visual novel and then you go head over heels about it, just remember that those words may be thought of and written by some old guy behind a desk.
Most of us here watch anime I am sure, and once in a while we have that favorite character that we go crazy about. And then we go worship them by putting their pictures on msn, twitter, set as desktop wallpaper/theme, browser theme, handphone wallpaper, buy products with them on it, and many more! However it is not like we think of them as soulmates or anything. We just… Really like them!
I don’t know what girls really think, but as a normal guy, I will say don’t worry! What you should really be worry about instead, is us spending more time on games and anime =P. Right guys?? Right….?
there’s nothing quite like a Japanese girl though. You can’t date and marry a virtual girl and have offspring XD

what i dont understand is why girls stay with guys who are obsessed with electronic games. in the u.s., thousands of brain dead WoW players choose raids over their girlfriend – to those who have one. japan just has one up on us with their anime obsession.
i guess im more shocked that the virtualfriend anime games have been selling. but then i think “it’s Japan,” and everything suddenly makes more sense

Anyone who likes a picture more than an actual girl is just lonely, pathetic, and extremely sad.
I imagine these are the types of people who can’t make friends very easily so they drift off in their own world where anime characters are real.
