Mac Dwelling Deeper Into Gaming
Well as you all know, Steam was recently made compatible for the Mac PC and now both Windows and Mac users can play together.
Now, two Ubisoft games are moving to the Mac as well: Assassin’s Creed 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction. Both of them will be available later this year, however Assassin’s Creed 2 is currently only available in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
I wonder how much work does is involved to port a game over to the Mac. I guess Ubisoft is experimenting in this new market. I am interested to find out what the future holds. Sales will definitely be lower than other platforms but it will be nice to see some reasonable numbers.

the reason noone plays games on imacs is because their hardware is proprietary. while i love their final cut and smooth operating system, gamers won’t switch over to macs if they compile their own rigs. and a lot of people like to personally upgrade their gfx cards.
i have to wonder how many people who currently have a $1k mac would even play games. if they did, they’d also already have a PC.

This what my thought is. I upgrade my pc to play games so I would never buy a mac for the reason no upgrading hardware and the insane price on top of it. Good news for mac fans though.
