Many fans should be excited for the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV beta, yet Square Enix isn’t ready again. The beta has been delayed due to some critical bugs that cropped up at the last minute. The open beta for Final Fantasy XIV which is due to kick off at 19:00 (PDT) on August 31 2010, will be postponed. New schedule will be released at a later date.

This isn’t good. Isn’t the game supposed to be out this month? Why is the game still having some “critical bugs”?

Seems that many are disappointed, including popular seiyuu, Tanaka Rie who specially bought the recommended FF14 PC along with new furniture! She got home only to find out that the beta’s opening has been cancelled.

But it seems that she has accepted the delay, saying that she will wait for the opening and then going to bed.

Along with the delay of the open beta, Square Enix is also halting the issuance of new beta codes and taking down the beta client installer later this evening.

So who is still getting the game after hearing what Square Enix is doing? :D Delays and delays…
