This trailer was first shown at Tokyo Game Show 2010 but it was only recently released to the internet by Square Enix.

For those of you who are not aware, Square Enix is developing games and placing them in a series called Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII – translates to “the new tale of the crystals”. It is a series consisting of a trilogy of games sharing a common theme:

the “Crystal Mythos” motif — a theme where the fates of ordinary humans are controlled by omnipotent gods.

Final Fantasy XIII is the series’ first entry, followed by Versus XIII (PS3) and Agito XIII (PSP). Each of these games started development at the same time by different teams within Square Enix. It is also important to note that they will not be related to each other in any way (e.g. gameplay, story, characters, etc) other than the theme they share. More games will be developed for Fabula Nova Crystallis in the future, but for now these 3 are the ones that have been officially announced.

So here is the trailer for Fabula Nova Crystallis. Both Agito XIII and Versus XIII looks really awesome and I am super pumped about them! They are more action-oriented compared to FFXIII but that’s fine, I like action anyways.

There are still no information on the release dates of those two games, so lets hope Square Enix releases more details during the Fabula Nova Crystallis conference on 11 January 2011.
