Atlus is still going strong with the PSP remakes of their Persona games. So far, they have ported Persona 1 and Persona 3 and now they are doing it for Persona 2: Innocent Sin.

There will not be any dramatic changes to the game since it is just a port. Instead, they will redo the graphics and tweak the battle interface to make sure it plays well on the PSP. They have also put in a new opening movie produced by anime studio Satellite. Atlus wanted to include Persona 2: Eternal Punishment into the remake as well, but with the UMD’s current capacity it is impossible to do so.

If you enjoyed playing P3 or P4, it is important to note that the style of gameplay is totally different. It is more similar to P1’s which some of you may not like. Furthermore, the original game was released on the PlayStation 1, so be sure not to expect too much visually. Below is a sample of the gameplay.

Shin Megami Tensei fans may want to consider getting this for a nostalgia bomb. Currently, this remake is only set to be released in Japan and there are no news whether Atlus USA will be localizing this. If they are then you are in for a little treat since Innocent Sin was never officially translated to English before.
