Nendoroid Generation – This Is a Game Containing Nendoroids. JRPG Anyone?
Nendoroid Generation, a game from Namco Bandai set in a school. This isn’t just any RPG! The characters in this cute game are yes, Nendoroids (as what the title suggests :3). The school they’re attending? Nendo High School!
Nendoroid Generation features Nendoroid figure versions of characters from a number of franchises. Characters introduced in this week’s Famitsu include:
- Black Rock Shooter (Black Rock Shooter)
- Dead Master (Black Rock Shooter)
- Black Gold Saw (Black Rock Shooter)
- Saber (Fate)
- Rider (Fate)
- Rin Tosaka (Fate)
- Nanoha Takamachi (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha)
- Fate Testarossa (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha)
- Haruhi Suzumiya (Haruhi Suzumiya)
- Yuki Nagato (Haruhi Suzumiya)
- Mikuru Asahina (Haruhi Suzumiya)
It’s currently unsure how much RPG does the game carry – contains a battle system though. We can make the Nendoroids perform chain combos which vary based on the party. You can also get the Nendoroids to perform cooperative group attacks.
The game also includes some stuff just for fans of Nendoroids. You’ll find a “Dance Mode” where the Nendoroids will dance around. You can also interact with the Nendoroids, selecting to pet them for instance.
Famitsu interviewed Good Smile Company CEO Takanori Aki this week and learned that the game will actually be seeing far more characters than those listed above. The plan is to have one to three characters appear from 10+ titles.
It is in development as a 10th year anniversary project for Good Smile Company. Currently only at 20% completion stage. Release date and price are TBA.
The idea of having a game based on Nendoroid is awesome! Just think how many people would be purchasing this. Hopefully they would include some special Nendoroid to go with the game ^^.
