PlayStation Network Restoration – Phase 1

Sony has begun restoring some of the PlayStation Network services in order of regions.

Currently, North America and Europe will be getting online services restored first, followed by Australia, New Zealand, and Middle East. There are no news about Japan and other Asian countries so far. Phase 2 will roll out once all regions have access to the current online services.

Here are the online services that are being restored first:

  • Sign-in for PlayStation®Network and Qriocity services, including the resetting of passwords.
  • Restoration of online game-play across PS3 and PSP.
  • Playback rental video content, if within rental period, of PlayStation Network Video Delivery Service on PS3, PSP and MediaGo.
  • Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity, for current subscribers, on PS3 and PC.
  • Access to 3rd party services such as Netflix, Hulu, Vudu and MLB.tv.
  • ‘Friends’ category on PS3, including Friends List, Chat Functionality, Trophy Comparison, etc.
  • PlayStation Home.

It kind of suck to be living in Singapore now, knowing that we will be one of the last few getting back the online services. Oh well, at least the PlayStation Network has entered restoration phase so we should be happy for that.

Countries/regions restored

United States
Canada
Europe
Australia
New Zealand
Mexico
South America
Middle East

Japan
Asia
