Nintendo 3DS Gets Price Cut
Nintendo becomes Sony. Well no actually. Just that Nintendo will be cutting the price of the recently released handheld console, 3DS. From August 12, you can purchase a 3DS for the price of $169.99 (or simply, $170). In Japan it’ll be cut from 25,000 yen to 15,000 yen.
Back when the PS3 was released, no one bothered to purchase a PS3 because it was too pricey. Sony then slash the price, and finally, average folk like me could purchase a PS3. To me, the price of a 3DS is comparable to a PS3! Why would anyone want to purchase a handheld console for that price when you can buy a gaming console and play cool games like Final Fantasy XIII or Catherine?
For folks agonizing over the fact that you fork out $250 for a 3DS, never fear! If you bought yr handheld console before August 12, you will be able to download 20 free games from the 3DS eShop.
Now who wants a 3DS after August 12? :D
