Lollipop Chainsaw Western Release Has Warner Bros. Support
The publisher of the international release has been announced yesterday. We will get to play Lollipop Chainsaw, outside of Japan in 2012 thanks to Warner Bros. Interactive. The publisher announced a new partnership with Lollipop’s Japanese publisher, Kadokawa Games. A good match? Both companies are media conglomerates who have only recently expanded into games.
We can expect other collaborations with creators from Hollywood and Japan, Kadokawa promised. Seems that writer/director James Gunn (Slither, Dawn of the Dead) will be supervising Lollipop’s scenario.
Creative director of Grasshopper Manufacture, Suda 51, reveals that Lollipop Chainsaw is 75% complete. He hints that we could be seeing more of main character Juliet in the future, saying that he and Kadokawa hope to develop her into an actress.
Cheerleader heroine, chainsaw, and a guy’s head hanging? How weird. Can’t wait for the trailer to be up.
