This is awesome! Upcoming Battlefield 3 which will be out in late October 2011, has already gotten over 1.25 million of preorders.

Is this good or bad?

Well EA’s CFO Eric Brown announced at the Citi 2011 Tech Conference that Battlefield 3 racking up over 1.25 million preorders is ahead of the previous Battlefield Bad Company 2, whereby the game only sold 2.3 million copies in the first month of release. Overall BFBC2 has sold over 9 million copies.

Now, Battlefield 3 which has yet to be released, has scored 1.25 million preorders! You do the maths.

Will Battlefield 3 sales hit over 2.3 million copies this 25 October 2011? We will see!
