Valkyria Chronicles 3 Not Heading To West

Oh no! Sega won’t be releasing a localized release of Valkyria Chronicles 3, which was released in Japan in January 2011. Gamespot confirms this news in a recent interview with Sega’s executive in charge of console sales.
Sega suggests the PSP isn’t popular enough in Western markets, and that Valkyria Chronicles 2 didn’t sell well enough to justify localization.
Valkyria Chronicles 3 was released on the PSP platform, and it has the strongest sales amongst the series: 102,779 units during its launch week. So far Valkyria Chronicles (1) is the only one on the PS3 platform. Kind of a waste since there are fans like me who prefer a HD version when playing a game!
I can only think there might have an increment in units sold because of the special product code that came bundled with Nendoroid Riela.. I haven’t tried VC3, what about you?

I didn’t buy the second one because I don’t have a psp. I wish they would have just kept it on ps3.
