The November issue of Aria featured a prologue of the spin-off manga featuring Levi from Shingeki no Kyojin.

The manga is a prequel, titled Kuinaki Sentaku from Gan Sunaaku and Hikaru Suruga. The manga doesn’t really get underway until the January 2014 issue and will be out for sale on 28 November 2013.

Anyone a huge fan of Levi?

Infinite Stratos Charlotte Gets Own Manga Series

Looks like Charlotte from Infinite Stratos is so popular that now she will be getting a monthly spinoff manga series, out this June 25. The “heartwarmng, sweeeeeet romantic comedy” IS Sugar & Honey will center around the popular French pilot candidate Charlotte Dunois. Takako Hitsuji is responsible for the manga’s art and story.

The web manga series will launch on Overlap Bunko imprint’s official website.

Not a big fan of Charlotte.. so no thanks :D

Kakumeiki Valvrave Saki Gets Own Manga Series

According to the July issue of Dengeki Daioh magazine, a manga about the Kakumeiki Valvrave’s Saki Rukino character will launch in the follwing issue in June. The manga is titled Kakumeiki Valvrave Ryuusei no Valkyrie and will tell the story of the heroine during her time as an idol and other events.

A novel project will also set to debut in the July issue of Dengeki Hobby Magazine.

With so much hype around the Valvrave anime, it is no doubt that there will be more side stories etc picked up!Is Kakumeiki Valvrave on your watchlist this season?

One Piece Manga on 2-Week Hiatus

According to the official website of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece manga would be going on hiatus for the magazine’s next two issues due to hospitalization.

Oda is hospitalized due to peritonsillar abscess, a complication that stems from a tonsillitis infection. Keep a lookout for One Piece manga which will return on June 10!

Gantz Manga to End in 2 More Chapters

As reported previously, Gantz manga was reported to be ending soon; And apparently there are only 2 more chapters left! This was confirmed in the 24th issue of Young Jump magazine.

Sadly another great piece of work is ending. It seems like there are many manga series ending this year =/

Aoi Hana Manga to End

According to the 81st issue of Manga Erotics F magazine, yuri manga Aoi Hana will end in the next issue on July 6.

The story begins with Fumi and Akira, two girls were close childhood friends until Fumi had to move away. Ten years after losing touch with each other, the two meet again as incoming students at a girls’ high school. Both deal with the trials of high school, as well as love and friendship within the student body.

Been catching the manga series ever since the anime series premiere back in 2009. What about you?

Sword Art Online Progressive Novel Gets Manga Adaptation

Artist Kiseki Himura will launch the manga adaptation of the Sword Art Online Progressive light novel in the August issue of Dengeki G’s Magazine, which will be released on June 29.

The manga adapts Reki Kawahara and abec’s revised retelling of Kirito’s journey through the floating Aincrad castle from the beginning, floor-by-floor.

Just give me the anime already :X

Gantz Manga Ending Soon..

According to the 14th issue of Miracle Jump magazine, Gantz manga creator Hiroya Oku wrote that he will be ending the manga very soon. Oku wrote the comment in the authors’ notes section for his illustrated column Origin of Gantz – A Story of Hiroya Oku & Sci-Fi Movies:

Gantz will also reach its final chapter very soon. I’ll give it my all until the very end!

Seems that a number of well-known manga are ending. Hopefully there are other works to be published in the future!

Evangelion Manga to End

According to the June issue of Young Ace, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, who provided the original character designs for Neon Genesis Evangelion, began telling a slightly alternate version of the story in a manga series in November 1994. The series is finally ending, with the last chapters slated to be published in the July issue of Young Ace, out this June 4.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama Manga Enters Final Arc

According to the June issue of LaLa magazine, Kaichou wa Maid-sama manga has entered its final arc.

The manga was launched in 2006 and has 16 volumes to date. The series centers on a high school student council president who secretly works at a maid café.

This means that another manga series I’ve been following will be ending.. What are your thoughts?
