Japanese Only Takes an Average of 8 Paid Vacations

It has been reported that the Japanese only takes an average of 8 paid vacations in a year! Japan is one of the countries that takes the least paid vacations throughout the world.

Various reasons as to why they aren’t taking more leave are “too much work” and “boss and colleagues have not taken leave either.”
This article is based on a recent survey.
Eight days is considered very little, as to the 20 plus paid vacation days that Singaporean Employees have over here. And no! We are not comparable to Japan still(in …

Be Charitable – Pay 1,000 yen and Get to Squeeze

On a recent Sunday in Tokyo, inside the offices of adult video broadcaster Paradise TV, two enthusiastic female voices can be heard counting from behind a pair of covered booths: “Ichi, ni, san, shi, go!” Yes, pay 1,000 yen and you get to squeeze the AV Girl’s boobs. I am not game for this, but I think there are many guys out there who wants to do it eh? XD

This is my first hearing such news. Who here wants to go Japan now? XD

Iron Man – Premiere in Japan

The hero flick “Iron Man” is soon to be shown in Japan. While I myself have caught the movie at the beginning of May earlier this year, I enjoyed the movie a lot. Wouldn’t mind watching again. Iron Man would premiere in Japan on September 27 2008.

Actor Robert Downey Jr met the press at Club Ex in Shinagawa yesterday for a promotional visit for the “Iron Man” movie which was about to be released in Japan.
While it sucks to see the movie months later, at least Robert Downey Jr was …

Japan Prime Minister Resigns Suddenly

Yesterday, Japan PM resigns to avoid “politicial vaccum”. While DannyChoo posted that the PM has been constantly changing with the seasons, I noticed that here(Singapore) it isn’t the case. I can only remember of two PMs in my life (for my 19 years of living in Singapore. Lol)

Knives against Knives

This was posted some time ago on DannyChoo. Didn’t have time to read all the news and articles there, until today. ^^

A man walked into a convenience store and pulled out a knife on two female shop attendants – “give us the cash!”
One of the shop assistants aged 51 pulled out a kitchen knife, held it up to the assailant and said…
“Society is rotten because of fiends like you!”
After reading this, I felt that knives are quite common in Japan. We have many incidents related to knives that have *cough* …

Breakfast in Japan

A very detailed report about Japanese people having what for breakfast, whether they eat breakfast everyday, has been posted up on What Japan Thinks.

I eat my breakfast everyday, and that is probably the reason why I am so healthy =X. I have a glass of milk after my breakfast and I head off for my lessons ^^. But I believe many of my friends do not have their breakfast!

They carried out a survey over 3 months, and the scale size was 7,965.
52.7% of the sample were female, 1.0% in their …

Japan Net Cafe – Only 1,000 Yen a Night

This is a picture of a single room room at a net cafe in Japan. For just 1,000 yen you can stay at such a place. Sounds fairly interesting, I won’t mind having a go at such a place. The internet is just what I need to last me through the night! ^^

Woman aged 45 dies in flood

It has been raining for days, over in Japan, it’s the same too. Read from Dannychoo that a woman aged 45 drowned in her own car, due to the flooding water. The strong water pressure prevented her from opening the door, thus rendering her unable to escape. The woman had called for help earlier on, but the emergency services didn’t send out any help. Another passenger also called for help but none came. The emergency services just apologised for their mistake.
When I read this, I was thinking “HUH?” An innocent …
