Sorry for the lack of posts but Golden Week in Japan equates rest for me (in a sense :D)

Any new year resolutions for you guys? This is the last year of education for me – this means I’m going to enter the work force soon! >_<

For me,

1. Cut down on figurines – limit to < 5 figurines a year
2. Buy only Hocchan-related figurines (Nendoroid/Scaled only)
3. Switch majority of the expenses to buying CD/DVD/Blu-rays
4. Study hard

What’s my resolutions for 2011? Well how about the final resolution: FORGET ABOUT 2011 RESOLUTION! HA! ^^”

1 Day VIP will cost $138 while 3 days will cost $368. 1 day standing tickets are priced at $48.

HAPPY 3RD YEAR ZOTAKU!

Enjoy some cute Princess Milhi to celebrate Zotaku’s 3rd year running for world domination I mean continuing on ;)

Lots of stuff has been happening to me in my personal life, sometimes I disappear because I needed to sort those sh1t out but I am fine at the end of the days/weeks ^^.

2011 is my final year of my University days, so while I was contemplating on quitting blogging last year when I just started Year 2 (2010), this year, however, I decided that blogging is part of my life. If I didn’t have blogging to do I would be very bored, and I know the 600-ish facebook fans would hate me, and so would the many followers on Twitter. Plus it’s pretty fun to walk around events and talking to comrades you know along the way. ^^”.

Alas my quest for flooding my room and this blog with my loves continue and I shall not disappoint any readers!

FYI: 23 August 2011 was my examinations results release date, so on the 24th I was busy going high that I passed my papers. Lol.

Well two of them are no surprise to regular folks of AFA since 2008: May’n and Ichirou Mizuki. The other confirmed artistes are: LiSa are FLOW.

LiSa is the singing voice of Yui from the anime series Angel Beats! Apparently it is said that she would be performing live with her band. Girls Dead Monster yeah! On the other hand I’m pretty sad that they didn’t bring Marina (singing voice of Iwasawa)

This is NOT a GDM concert without Marina! Heck bring Lia too! Then it will totally be a Angel Beats! concert already!

Next up, FLOW. I have heard of several of their songs, but never a big fan. Busy chasing other boy bands like UVERworld ^^”. Most memorable songs to me would be “Colors” and “World End” from the anime series Code Geass!

I won’t be touching on May’n or Aniki as.. I’m sure you already know about them, having seen them since 2008 ^^.

It seems like the main attraction for this event is an Akiba-style Underground Idol named Chiroru Hoshino. She was singing and dancing on stage to promote her single called Step Up!. She has a small fan base that is growing in Singapore as she already made an appearance before in 2010. She also has some Singaporean pen pals. I asked her when did she started singing. She told me she started in junior high around 2 years ago. She also started playing the guitar a year before that.

Her singing on stage was pretty good, so I bought the single to give it a listen. It was not ground breaking, but definitely decent. You can sample her music in her Myspace page. I’m quite interested to hear more from her in the future.

I’m sure all of you know by now how serious the earthquake is in Japan. Many are left homeless. In addition radiation level is on a raise. We can do our part by donating to the Red Cross.

For items ordered between March 16th to March 31st 2011, 2% of CDJapan’s profit will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross.

HobbyLink Japan

HLJ will be increasing the prices of their products by 2%. In addition they will donate 2% of their profit. In total they will be donating 4% to the Japanese Red Cross.

Of course you can choose not to purchase items to “donate”. You can donate directly to the relief agencies.

The event is organized by the people behind Anime Festival Asia and is taking place from 4 – 6 March. The “Super Anisong Live” and anime movie screenings are the main features, and there will also be merchandises being sold. Maybe treat it as a mini AFA? Below are some info about the concerts.

angela (Music Concert + Meet and Greet)

angela is coming back! It has only been 3 months since AFA and angela is flying back to Singapore for another live performance. I am not a fan of FLOW, but I’m sure some people are :). There is no bundle package so far, so you’re gonna have to cough up SGD$196 if you want to go for both concerts. Tickets will be available on 21 February.

For the anime movie screenings, those 3 movies are not exactly something that I look forward to although there will probably be a lot of people watching the Naruto Shippuuden movie. Unlike AFA, you have to purchase the movie tickets if you want to watch them. Tickets will be available on 28 February.

I may be going for the event to get my hands on some merchandise and hopefully take some pictures of cosplayers hanging around. This may be a good excuse for a Zotaku outing :).

The Final Fantasy XIII-2 trailer will be officially available on the internet on 20 January 2011 while the others on 27 January 2011. However, people streaming from Nico Nico Video has been recording it and some of them uploaded the trailers to YouTube. Here are some of the ones I have found so far. Took them long enough to get the schedule out. But yeah it’s finally out. Who’s heading AFAX this year? I will be heading down both days!

I will be attempting to do a short post about AFAX, before AFAX – that is if I have the time. I am quite busy as it is right now due to school. Trying to finish up everything so that I can enjoy AFAX! ^_^
