HAPPY 3RD YEAR ZOTAKU!

Lots of stuff has been happening to me in my personal life, sometimes I disappear because I needed to sort those sh1t out but I am fine at the end of the days/weeks ^^.

2011 is my final year of my University days, so while I was contemplating on quitting blogging last year when I just started Year 2 (2010), this year, however, I decided that blogging is part of my life. If I didn’t have blogging to do I would be very bored, and I know the 600-ish facebook fans would hate me, and so would the many followers on Twitter. Plus it’s pretty fun to walk around events and talking to comrades you know along the way. ^^”.

Alas my quest for flooding my room and this blog with my loves continue and I shall not disappoint any readers!

FYI: 23 August 2011 was my examinations results release date, so on the 24th I was busy going high that I passed my papers. Lol.

I think these may very well be the most satisfying presents I have ever had in my 21 years on Earth! I got a Master Grade 00 Raiser, a mini Gundam building kit, and a copy of Gran Turismo 5! I want to take this opportunity to thank my friends for these wonderful presents, including M who contributed for the kit and GT5.

GRAN TURISMO 5

First up is Gran Turismo 5. I didn’t buy this game because I was afraid that it will be too racing wheel dependent. For the past three days I have been playing the game with a controller and I’m doing pretty well with it, though whether or not it will be the same for challenges and license tests is another story.

I’m really liking the packaging. It feels really slick and classy. Oh and it has colored manual which is an extra plus for me :D.

MG 00 RAISER

This is my first ever Master Grade so I’m very excited! So far I have completed the head, arms, and torso and I noticed the level of detail for the Master Grade is a big jump from High Grade. Now I’m afraid I will never be satisfied with anything lower than MG T_T.

The box is twice as big as my HG Cherudim box and it is still fully packed! This will probably take me a while to complete but I will enjoy every moment of it! I will be posting about it once I’m done, but for now you can follow me on Twitter to view my progress :).

GUNDAM BUILDING KIT

I was already considering getting this back when I was building Cherudim but now that I got this MG 00 Raiser, I decided to get a little more serious about this hobby and get the kit (M paid for it! Thanks!). I will be doing some panel lining too once the hobby shop near my house restock the Gundam markers. I did some research on different methods of panel lining and I think getting a Gundam marker will be more user friendly for a beginner like me.

The nipper, being so small yet sharp, is really handy. Also the tip is angled, making it easy to trim off those small plastic parts that sticks out like a sore thumb.

I have not found any uses for the tweezers yet, but I’m sure it will come in handy some time.

The filer is one of my most used tool. If there are still some plastic left even after trimming, you can use this to finish up the job. It works really well, however it may leave scratch marks on the main parts if you are not careful. You can cover them up with paint or something, but if you do not invest in paint (like me) then try not to use it.

I think its very clear what the screw driver does, so I’m not gonna go into detail about it. For the MG 00 Raiser there is only one screw which is for the LED light battery compartment. There are no screws on the Gundam itself. The screwdriver should be more useful for Perfect Grade.

I was pretty skeptical about the separator at first because I have tried using something similar with the Cherudim and it was very difficult to separate the plastic pieces. Boy was I wrong. This separator works like a charm!

Guuzen: “Despite her very busy schedule, Zenical still manages to keep Zotaku alive with contents. Not only that, she also pulled off a long and exhausting birthday party preparation which took up hours of precious resting time. Talk about dedication! but then again, that is why she is still our Boss =).

Zenical’s birthday party ended well, leaving her very fatigued but extremely happy. Furthermore, she received lots of wonderful presents and one of them came from M and Guuzen!

As another year ends, a new one arrives. We wish Zenical all the best and a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY.”

M: “Well I’ve known zenical back when we were still at zenime, so I can safely say that up till now, she has been a great boss and friend. As Guuzen mentioned, we visited her last weekend to celebrate her birthday and well the party kinda fun. We got to see her other friends and the surroundings where she lives.

Zen is kinda super. Despite being busy with school work daily, she still manages to keep the site alive. Yeah. Hmm, I actually did tell her that I’ll be doing a post soon, so I guess I should start collecting on what to write, so as not to disappoint the boss. Yeah, that’s all I’ve got to say for now.

Guuzen: M’s actual birthday is on October 3, but we couldn’t make it in time! So sorry! But hey, hope he had a wonderful time with his family! M is now experiencing working life, but his birthday fell on a Sunday so lucky him! There was suppose to be an outing with M but seems like it has to be cancelled due to busy schedule. Nonetheless, we wish him all the best and of course a very happy birthday!

Zenical: I was waiting for Guuzen to prepare this Mio picture. Being the perfectionist, doing the Mio picture took forever and by the time he finished it was Friday. And Friday till Saturday we had a very busy and tired Zenical to finish up this post XD.

We bought an anime T-shirt for him. Unfortunately we all have busy schedules, as such I doubt that M will be getting his present till end of this month!

In case you didn’t know, she is forever 17. Last year she held her first LIVE Concert at Budokan on September 19th and 20th. The LIVE WAS AMAZING! She can sing, she can dance.. I am fangirling already XD. I shall celebrate her birthday by watching the LIVE later ^^.

She’s been rather quiet this year. She did not have any new single nor album, and she did not perform at Animelo. T_T. Why Hocchan? Was 2009 too tiring? :(

She went for Anime Expo this year in USA, lucky people who got the chance to see her and get her autograph but no one called her HOCCHAN. That is epic fail. :( I would have shouted like crazy!!!!

Happy Birthday Hocchan, please release more singles/albums/LIVE Concerts so I can continue fangirling over you :D.

M: I Think it was last September when Zen pasted the ‘Looking for new writer’ Ad when I told guuzen about the listing. It’s been 9 whole months man. Haha. Yea. Well, I’m not good with well-wishing posts so I’ll just end it off with Happy Birthday Guuzen!!!

Guuzen is a big fan of Azusa. So here’s one more picture of Azusa for him. We got him a present, but it’s not here yet. I’ll ask him to post it up once he gets it from us ;).

お誕生日おめでとう奈々ちゃん！！

Though my 2000 expenses post isn’t out yet, Nana-chan is #1 among my 4 loves. LOL. And I don’t regret my monies paid for those singles, album, LIVE :D

And since it’s been ages since I last posted my holy closet which I display all the stuff – it’s time. What used to be a neatly packed closet has turned out to be like this. The first shelf of the CDs are mostly Hocchan’s stuff – LIVE, singles and albums. I think PHANTOM MINDS single(Nana) is there.

Second shelf is specially for Nana-chan, but I’m really getting lazy to just unwrap my other singles and album from the bubble wraps to stack them neatly. LOL. Third shelf is my other single purchases, along with YUI singles and albums. Actually YUI dominates this shelf.

The last shelf of the CD Section is.. LIVES!! Nana-chan’s LIVE! :D

This sums up my mini shrine. I am quite the lazy one to put up posters in my room as they tend to drop off after some time. Framing would be good, but costly T_T. No cake bought because I forgot orz. I was extremely hungry and I quickly bought my lunch and after that, I headed home. LOL.

And.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIZUKI NANA!! Please sing more songs for me to listen to in 2010! :D And if you want to give Nana-chan a birthday present, the simplest would be to purchase her latest single, PHANTOM MINDS. The single is #1 on the Weekly Oricon Chart – she’s the first seiyuu to ever achieve that. Banzai!

And remember my teaser shot via my recent loot post or Twitpic? Yes the furry item is HANS PLUSH. It’s a birthday present from starsray (which was over a long time ago, but I requested that.. :D) The wait was worth it. SO CUTE! I can hug him to sleep *PUHI*

The item besides Hans is Nana Cho Mo, it’s the FanClub Mascot Plush. Kawaii too! 7 means everything to me, because it’s Nana :).

Yes here is my birthday cake. Er blueberry cheesecake? XD. I didn’t actually display it nicely for a shot since I cut my cake early in the morning(I had lessons from 8.30am till 3pm T_T. How sad is that?!)

As part of the Chinese tradition I had to eat hard-boiled eggs. Actually I have no idea how many I am supposed to eat. I just peeled two as ordered by my mother :3.

And this is another cake from one of my seniors in class. Knowing her for years, she bought a slice of sponge cake for me. Well it’s the thought that counts right? Heh.

My presents.. I still have like 3-4 more from friends, yet to get them! :D. Well hopefully soon yes?

And yes, I told M I wanted K-ON! slippers. And he wanted to order Mugi and Ritsu for me, but I was so against it. So here are K-ON! slippers from him. I will be wearing these this Saturday for “you-know-what”! *Hint hint*

I requested these gifts from friends too. Clearly, having me as their friend can be very stressful – as they have no freaking idea what to get for me =X.

I had an early celebration with my family on 30 October 2009. We went for a buffet. It was around 30 plus per person with lots of good food. My friends attempted to ask me out for a celebration on Saturday as they were free that weekend, but clearly I wasn’t. Had lots of work. ><

But nevertheless, those minions still came to surprise me on Sunday(1 November 2009). I was tricked by them into going out to collect my present from them! What was supposed to be a short meetup for my present became a night of fun for us. I invited them over to my house for a session of Rockband(since it was pretty bad of me to chase them home after getting my present :P)

My mini cake they bought for me. Heh :) From Monday to Wednesday, it was school. Yes the last day of lessons for the week was on my birthday. How sad is that?!

On Thursday, met up with M and Guuzen for a celebration (and also to get my present from M and pass him his stuff >_>) Poor M had to go to school after that while me and Guuzen went home to “sleep” LOL. Those two guys treated me to pizza :D, so yes thanks a lot! Do we have to have a meal for Christmas? O.o. Haha. I collected my Saber Lily Nendoroid from another friend on Friday, and that was the last day of “fun” for me as I came down with a fever on Friday night ><. Mehh.

Overall it was quite an exciting birthday year as I was granted the permission to smack my university friends as much as I wanted since I was the birthday girl :D. The only downside was I had to see this girl in class whom I’m not very fond of.. Apparently she was trying to tease me for having lessons until 3pm on my birthday, but well I wasn’t going to let her, so I just ignored her all the way during class – she never got the chance to tease me at all ;)

So here I am blogging now, still feeling sick. Hopefully I will be able to recover as soon as possible.
