Next month, there will be a bundle for Pokemon Black & White containing a new designed cover DSi and a copy of one version of the game. It will be available for 19,800 yen. If you are considering to get this, it is important to know that this is a Japanese bundle. There aren’t any announcements for an international bundle yet, but I think there is quite a high possibility that there will be one in the future.

Seems like Japan just love their Pokemon and portable gaming. Pokemon Black & White is still sitting comfortably at the top spot after 3 consecutive week and it has sold a total of 3,761,217 copies in 16 days.

I don’t really play Pokemon games now, but I am always interested to see new ones just to know what are the new features added in. I remember when day and night cycle was first introduced in Gold and it was a huge deal! Also what about Diamond & Pearl? I bet a lot of you were excited after seeing that some of the environment assets (e.g. buildings) are actually in 3D!

The English version of Pokemon Black & White do not have any exact release dates so far, but it is slated for Spring 2011.

Starting June 19, the DS Lite will go from 16,800 yen to open pricing. The DSi will go from 18,900 yen to 15,000 yen. The DSi LL (XL overseas) will drop from 20,000 yen to 18,000 yen.

In addition, on June 19, these 3 new colors: Blue, Yellow and Green will be available for the DSi LL too! The 3 colors will join Wine Red, Dark Brown and Natural White, which have been the LL’s only color options since the November 2009 release.

These 3 new colors will be priced at 18,000 yen too. If you fancy a smaller screen, do pick up the DSi at only the price of 15,000 yen, that’s 3,000 yen away from a DSi LL(18,000 yen).

Not only that, the vacation spots are based off real life locations in Japan.

One activity producer Akari Uchida seems to be encouraging is that players actually travel to the date location, leading to a feedback effect that one could call compound reality.

Boyfriends who choose to follow Uchida’s suggestion and find themselves on the beaches of Atami in Shizuoka will want to stay at Ohnoya Hotel. Konami is holding a tie-up with the hotel and onsen facility.

Ohnoya Hotel’s Website shows the activities planned for those who bring their copy of the game with them. The announcement came from the hotel itself rather than Konami, so it might be possible that there will be other locations for you to bring your girl to. ;)

Well really interested to check this game out, but at the same time I know I can’t, because would you like it if a girl is “dating” a girl? XD.

Last friday, Sharp unveiled its new 3D touchscreen LCD technology in Tokyo today, touting the new tech’s high brightness and low crosstalk—”Double images created by overlapping of left and right images”—calling it “ideal for sophisticated mobile devices such as smartphones.”

Tons of rumors floating around, but Nintendo has not officially revealed the specifications or manufacturer of the Nintendo 3DS, and it plans to showcase at this year’s E3 expo. Sharp was previously pegged as one of the manufacturers of the device screens – though there is no official word from Nintendo yet.

What do you think of 3D gaming? I always thought it’s awesome. But the thought of having portable 3D gaming – can’t see myself having one of those consoles. It’s tough playing with my iPhone – all the motion controls of shaking, flipping to one side is embarrassing enough in the public =/.

The chain is developing a DS training program called “eSmart.” New part time employees will train through this software. Using the new DS software, McDonalds believes it can cut training time by half over conventional methods, in part due of the familiarity of the DS system. It hopes to quickly get new employees out on the floor.

How they train themselves through a DS software, I have no idea. I always believe that doing things yourself is the best method to learn something new – I wonder whether using the DS will be that efficient? There are certainly stuff you can’t learn when using the DS..
