As mentioned previously, Battle Destiny is an all new entry in PSP’s Gundam Battle series. It will be developed by Artdink and Mobile Suits from Seed, Seed Destiny, Seed C.E.73 Stargazer, Seed Astray, Seed X Astray, Seed VS Astray and Seed MSV will be making their appearance on this game itself.

It will incorporate some touch screen capabilities which will allow you tap the weapon icons on the upper right corner of the screen. The viewpoint can be also adjusted using the right analogue stick. Up to four players will be supported for multiplayer games and it will be only on ad-hoc modes though. Currently the game development is currently at 70% and it is planned for release on Spring 2012.

This is making me yearn to own a PS Vita in the next few months. Tch >_>.

You will get to play as a pilot of either Federation or Zeon forces and will need to co-operate with the other allies to defeat the other enemies in the battlefield.

This game promises many appearances of characters and mobile suits from the past Gundam works.

Namco Bandai will be holding the alpha test for the game from the 16th to 18th December. A total of 3,000 players will be selected to take part in this alpha test. Namco Bandai lists the game as a two-on-two team battle game that runs on the PS3-based System 357 arcade board. This was all true of the original Extreme VS game as well, so it’s still unclear what we more we can expect from Full Boost.

We’ll probably get more update once 8 December comes, as that is the date for Namco Bandai arcade showcase.

Guuzen’s Loot

This loot post is all about video games. I have recently purchased Catherine, and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 a while back. Catherine was a game that I had been keeping an eye on from time to time whereas DW:G3 was something that I just happen to see on store shelves and then bought it because, well, I like Gundam.

So Catherine, the creepy, sexy and unique game developed by Atlus. At first I was thinking of waiting for a price drop before getting it, but when I read MrOptic’s retweet of someone’s copy and saw the “Free Sound Disc And Art ‘Book” sticker, I rushed out to get it!

For picky guys like me, I was happy to see a fully colored manual. As an added bonus, it is also fully stylized! I always enjoyed Atlus’s art style and menu designs.

The art book and sound disc is something like a first press release kind of thing for the normal edition, though if you really want it it will be included in every “Love Is Over” deluxe edition.

the art book contains messages from the producer & game director, Katsura Hashino; the sound composer, Shoji Meguro; and the character designer, Shigenori Soejima about the thoughts on their part during developement. The book also includes biography of the main characters, working process behind the art book’s cover art and of course, pictures.

The sound disc is located at the back of the art book and it consists of 11 tracks. This is not the official soundtrack of Catherine. The “full fledged” OST with 34 tracks is available in Japan and you can purchase it from CDJapan.

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3

I think I bought this last month or early this month. This is my first ever hack n’ slash game can you believe it? I was never interested in this genre and probably never will, except this time. I would never had bought anything from the Dynasty Warriors franchise but my interest in Gundam overruled that.

M’s Loot

Bleach: Soul Ignition

So this came to me as a surprise. I thought the game won’t be out till next month but then I received a message from the local game store yesterday telling me that the game was ready for collection. So I immediately went out and got my copy.

I’m not as crazy over colored manual as Guuzen, but I will welcome them anytime.

I think these may very well be the most satisfying presents I have ever had in my 21 years on Earth! I got a Master Grade 00 Raiser, a mini Gundam building kit, and a copy of Gran Turismo 5! I want to take this opportunity to thank my friends for these wonderful presents, including M who contributed for the kit and GT5.

GRAN TURISMO 5

First up is Gran Turismo 5. I didn’t buy this game because I was afraid that it will be too racing wheel dependent. For the past three days I have been playing the game with a controller and I’m doing pretty well with it, though whether or not it will be the same for challenges and license tests is another story.

I’m really liking the packaging. It feels really slick and classy. Oh and it has colored manual which is an extra plus for me :D.

MG 00 RAISER

This is my first ever Master Grade so I’m very excited! So far I have completed the head, arms, and torso and I noticed the level of detail for the Master Grade is a big jump from High Grade. Now I’m afraid I will never be satisfied with anything lower than MG T_T.

The box is twice as big as my HG Cherudim box and it is still fully packed! This will probably take me a while to complete but I will enjoy every moment of it! I will be posting about it once I’m done, but for now you can follow me on Twitter to view my progress :).

GUNDAM BUILDING KIT

I was already considering getting this back when I was building Cherudim but now that I got this MG 00 Raiser, I decided to get a little more serious about this hobby and get the kit (M paid for it! Thanks!). I will be doing some panel lining too once the hobby shop near my house restock the Gundam markers. I did some research on different methods of panel lining and I think getting a Gundam marker will be more user friendly for a beginner like me.

The nipper, being so small yet sharp, is really handy. Also the tip is angled, making it easy to trim off those small plastic parts that sticks out like a sore thumb.

I have not found any uses for the tweezers yet, but I’m sure it will come in handy some time.

The filer is one of my most used tool. If there are still some plastic left even after trimming, you can use this to finish up the job. It works really well, however it may leave scratch marks on the main parts if you are not careful. You can cover them up with paint or something, but if you do not invest in paint (like me) then try not to use it.

I think its very clear what the screw driver does, so I’m not gonna go into detail about it. For the MG 00 Raiser there is only one screw which is for the LED light battery compartment. There are no screws on the Gundam itself. The screwdriver should be more useful for Perfect Grade.

I was pretty skeptical about the separator at first because I have tried using something similar with the Cherudim and it was very difficult to separate the plastic pieces. Boy was I wrong. This separator works like a charm!

Mobile Suit Gundam AGE is an upcoming TV series in the Summer line-up. It is a new Gundam anime, but it may turn some people off (I’m one of them) because the characters shown in this trailer looks as if they just got out of a kids show: brightly colored, minimal shading, rounded hair, using over-exaggerating motions to perform simple tasks.

The only thing I know about this is there is a new AGE system that allows the Gundam to evolve to possibly different forms (1:30 – 1:34). I do not know much about the setting but looking at the trailer, humanity is once again threatened and this blue-haired kid is probably gonna set things straight. His mother died right in front of his eyes when he was just a child, but I’m glad he is not taking the Shinn Asuka route. He seems proper and not blinded by hatred and revenge.

I’m not sure if I will be watching this till the end as I have stated above, the character art is kind of throwing me off. I will definitely give it a try though. Mobile Suit Gundam AGE will premiere on October 2011.

Yea. The 00 Quanta is from the Gundam 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer movie, the hax-gundam that Setsuna used. The 00 Quanta was first on sale when the movie first screened here last year but because of the crazy price tag back then and the ridiculous ending of the 00 movie, I decided to pass on it then.

Then came AFAX. It was on sale at a slightly cheaper price but I decided to buy the MG-Figure Rise Strawhat Luffy instead.

And then came the last week of 2010, just after Christmas. It was a boring week. There were no TV shows on, no Animes to watch, finished reading my backlogged manga already, so I decided. I needed to build something. Went down to my local Gundam-store and bought it. I didn’t actually knew that the 00 Quanta was Master Grade. All along I thought it was 1/100 only, so I kinda freaked when I saw that the price tag was like $90SGD.

Managed to get it at a discount and brought it home only to realize that it was MG. Delighted. Note, this is my first MG Gundam and I didn’t know what I was getting myself into.

It took long (approx. 7-8 hours spread across 2 days), but I finally completed it last night, along with something else. Here are the pictures:
