Nice Gundam Legs

Bluesnow pointed this out to me a few days ago. Gundam legs!

Work has started on the “life-sized” Gundam. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the mecha anime/manga/toy/video game franchise, an 18-meter-tall (59-foot-tall) Gundam statue will be erected in Tokyo this July.
If only such events were held around the world, well.. Gundam is quite famous everywhere. Even anime fans here in Singapore who do not really support anime (tsk) do know of the mighty Gundams XD.

Flasher Causes Train To Delay, Affecting 7,000

Just when we thought there will be more death threats made against singers, we have the latest news – a flasher!
A man was arrested yesterday for obscenity in public after he reportedly flashed passengers aboard the JR Kagoshima Line.

Ishikawa, who told police he was unemployed and homeless, admitted to the charges, and was quoted as saying: “I got on the train with the intention of flashing someone.”

Allowing Trade-in Goods Boost Sales for Stores

If you never knew your old stuff could be useful, think again. Odakyu department store recently had a promotion whereby customers could bring their old ladies shoes and trade in for a 1,050 yen coupon. The coupon can be used for customers to purchase new items. The department store had initially decided to hand out 20,000 coupons, but ended up giving out more than 150,000 of such coupons!

Man Arrested for Death Threats Against Kumi Koda

Another man has been arrested, this time for making death threats against Kumi Koda. He posted death threats on Koda’s record company blog using his mobile phone. The man, Yusuke Nozaki, aged 31, was arrested on a charge of blackmail. He has admitted to the allegation, saying that he wanted to kill Kumi Koda, and then himself.

3 Japanese Males Confirmed With Swine Flu

Swine flu reaches Japan! Three Japanese males from Osaka who returned from the United States have been confirmed to be infected swine flu, making them the first cases of Japanese nationals to contract the new flu.

The three—a high school teacher in his 40s and two teenage students from Osaka—had been staying in Oakville, Canada, on a school trip from April 24 and arrived at Narita airport from Detroit at around 4:30 p.m. Friday on a Northwest Airlines flight.

Swine Flu Hits Japan?

Seems that my fear is coming true.. ><
It is being reported that a Japanese woman who came to Japan on April 30th 2009 may be infected with swine flu. The particular woman, arrived in Japan via a North America Airline flight from L.A.

The passenger, a Japanese woman, was transported from the airport by ambulance to Japanese Red Cross Narita Hospital. The woman, accompanied by quarantine officers wearing protective suits, walked into the hospital without assistance.

Man Arrested for Threatening to Blow Up Konata’s House

A man by the name of Yosuke Ida, 22 years old this year was arrested for sending a letter threatening to blow up Konata’s house! I am Going to Japan!

I will be visiting Japan next month ^_^. It will be sort of my first time overseas by PLANE. Yes I sound pathetic; Since I was schooling, I didn’t have time to fly to other countries for holidays. I had extra curricular activities commitments. So this time round, it will be a pretty exciting trip for me! ^_^

I will be following a tour with my mother, so meh, the trip will be pretty short and all, but still, this is a trip sponsored by my parents, so why not? =D
