Synopsis

In normal RPGs, a hero defeats the Satan king and the story ends. But what does the hero do after that? Ohtorizawa Akatsuki defeats the Satan king in the fantasy world of Alleyzard and returns to the real world. He is sheltered by the international organization BABEL, which protects and controls people transferred from the outer worlds. BABEL is astonished to know Akatsuki has really defeated Satan and brings Satan’s daughter Miu from Alleyzard. In the academy of BABEL, Akatsuki confronts other “returners”, who have psychic powers.

The  novel series was launched last year, and currently the 7th volume of the light novel will be out this 1 December 2011.

Plot Summary

The Achiga Girls’ Academy in Nara once defeated regional mahjong powerhouse Bansei High School. It advanced into the national team semifinals but lost to the eventual champion, and the mahjong club was later disbanded. Six years later, elementary school student Shizuno Takakamo befriends transfer student Nodoka Haramura. The two eventually enter Achiga Girls’, but Nodoka transfers out of the school in the second year. When Shizuno sees Nodoka on television the following year as the national middle school individual mahjong champion, she decides to revive Achiga’s mahjong club.

The original Saki manga was created by Ritz Kobayashi.

The story is set in the early 21st century as a sequel to another NisiOisin story, Bakemonogatari, and it centers around the “Fire Sisters” Tsukihi and Karen Araragi.

I first heard of the news while I was on the way home. Rushed home and managed to see Yui Horie (Hocchan) giving her final comments. Thank goodness I didn’t disconnect from the live stream when she was talking >_<.

Noitamina producer Kōji Yamamoto and Black Rock Shooter creator huke both confirmed the news on their respective Twitter accounts. Also, the official website has already launched a preview page whose meta tags list the figure maker Good Smile Company, the composer Ryo, the creator huke, the anime studio Ordet, and the musical group supercell.

The franchise already inspired an original video anime, figures, and games. The artist ringo launched the Black Rock-chan four-panel manga in the inaugural issue of Kadokawa Shoten’s 4-Koma Nano Ace magazine in March, and Sanami Suzuki (Net Ghost PiPoPa) launched another Black Rock Shooter ~Innocent Soul~ manga in Young Ace in June.

This is great news. Hopefully they do not end the anime like the OVA did ._. I love Strength to be honest.. But sadly only BRS and DM had much more screentime >_<. And with this piece of announcement, I can only guess there will definitely be an influx of more BRS merchandises and figurines flooding the market!

The Blu-ray versions of the two Rurouni Kenshin original video anime (OVA) and Rurouni Kenshin: Ishin Shishi no Chinkonka [Requiem] film will ship between August 24 and October 26. Compilation CD will ship on July 27. A new game for the PSP system, titled Rurouni Kenshin, Meiji Kenkaku Romantan Saisen has already been out last month.

I remember catching the anime back on TV when I was young. I love the OP, still remember how it sounds like up till today. Really one of my fave anime series. New Kenshin anime? I’m all up for it. I know many fans might be against this but hey, Fullmetal Alchemist remake (Brotherhood) wasn’t that bad. It got better towards the end!

This will be a proper series containing 13 episodes of beautiful CG animation. If you have not watched the first two movies, don’t worry because this new adaptation is not related to them story wise.

I remember watching a trailer for Ex Machina and the visual looks gorgeous in 1080p. It was on my “Plan To Watch” list for quite some time and after a while I totally forgot about it. Another similar looking anime that I wanted to try out was Vexille and once again, it just slipped from my mind. Thanks to this piece of news though, I’m really excited to watch them! Hope the story holds up as well as the assets.

Unfortunately more details will be provided in the upcoming September issues of Kadokawa Shoten’s Newtype and COMPTIQ magazines, shipping this August 10. Also, well-known singer and voice actress Halko Momoi also posted about the television anime adaptation on Twitter.

The game is the second “scientific adventure game” from 5pb. and Nitroplus, who also created Chaos;HEAd. The artist huke (Black Rock Shooter) designed the characters.

OO. BRS OVA anyone? I caught the OVA and damn I love the art… I am so glad I preordered the Black Rock Shooter Nendoroid. LOL.

Also, it was announced that the manga will resume in the same issue after it’s one-year hiatus. WOW! One year is very long!

Looked at the plot summary, looks interesting. Hopefully it won’t be a disappointment!

Ono had previously written the original novels for The Twelve Kingdoms and Ghost Hunt, while Fujisaki is best known for drawing the Hoshin Engi/Soul Hunter manga.

I caught Tweleve Kingdoms and Ghost Hunt, and I really enjoyed the show! In addition, I believed to have seen some of Soul Hunter’s manga art, so I’m really looking forward to this anime ^^.
